Research On The Status Quo And Countermeasures Of Local Urbanization In Henan Province

Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous improvement of the economy,China’s urbanization rate has also shown an upward trend.While the rapid development of economy and urbanization has led to problems such as large income gap between urban and rural areas and hollowing out of rural areas.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Henan Province has adhered to the peopleoriented approach,vigorously promoted the process of urbanization and achieved remarkable results,but the problem of large gap between urban and rural areas and low quality of urbanization has always existed.At the20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was proposed to adhere to the priority development of agriculture and rural areas,adhere to the integrated development of urban and rural areas,and promote the urbanization construction with county towns as an important carrier.Therefore,local urbanization can improve the development of rural economy,accelerate the process of urbanization,and then improve the quality of urbanization development in Henan Province and promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas.This paper studies the development level of local urbanization in various regions of Henan Province and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.This paper first clarifies the relevant concepts,elaborates the relevant theories of in-situ urbanization one by one,analyzes the development process and development status of urbanization in Henan Province,reviews the development process to have a preliminary understanding of urbanization,and analyzes the development status in order to have a deeper understanding of the development of in-situ urbanization in Henan Province.On this basis,an index system was constructed from five aspects: population structure,economic development,ecological environment,public services,and urban-rural coordination,and relevant data on the development level of local urbanization in 18prefecture-level cities in Henan Province from 2012 to 2021 were collected,and the entropy method and cluster analysis method were used to measure and classify the development level of local urbanization in various regions of Henan Province.The measurement results show that the development level of local urbanization in various regions of Henan Province can be divided into five categories,the first is the area with a high level of development: Zhengzhou City;The second category is areas with medium and high levels of development: Jiyuan Demonstration Zone;The third category is areas with medium development levels: Xuchang City,Jiaozuo City,Hebi City,Luoyang City;The fourth category is areas with medium and low development levels: Anyang City,Sanmenxia City,Xinxiang City;The fifth category is areas with low development levels: Pingdingshan City,Luohe City,Nanyang City,Xinyang City,Puyang City,Kaifeng City,Zhumadian City,Zhoukou City,and Shangqiu City.In order to further understand the development and future practices of local urbanization in Henan Province,this paper selects the mayor of Xuchang Ge City,Henan Province as an example to conduct a questionnaire survey.Cases from Xun County,Hebi City,Henan Province,Baicun,Xianyang City,Shaanxi Province,Songyang County,Zhejiang Province,and Lujiang County,Anhui Province were selected to introduce their practices and experiences.According to the analysis of the development level of local urbanization in Henan Province,it can be concluded that: First,from the current situation of local urbanization development in Henan Province,it can be seen that the overall level of urbanization rate in Henan Province has improved,the total economic volume has been increasing,rural infrastructure has gradually improved,agriculture has accelerated into the modernization mode,and the living environment has improved.Second,from the comprehensive score of the measurement of the development level of local urbanization in Henan Province,it can be seen that the development level of local urbanization in Henan Province has been increasing,but the development level gap between regions is large.Third,from the data and calculation results of various indicators of local urbanization development level in Henan Province,Henan Province has a large gap in the comprehensive scores of indicators in five aspects: population structure,economic development,ecological environment,public services,and urban-rural coordination,with the highest score for economic development and the lowest score for ecological environment.To promote the realization of local urbanization in Henan Province,it should improve the level of urbanization planning and increase employment opportunities;Drive economic growth and optimize industrial structure;Improve the ecological environment and create beautiful and livable living conditions;improving public services and accelerating infrastructure development;Coordinate urban and rural development and realize urban-rural integration.
