Research On Profit Model Of “Internet+Healthcare” Enterprises

In the face of China’s 1.4 billion population and the increasingly serious aging population,"the difficulty of seeing a doctor" and "the high cost of seeing a doctor" have become a difficult problem facing the needs of Healthcare treatment and people’s better life.At the same time,with the increasing demand for Healthcare care,the shortage of Healthcare and health resources is becoming more and more serious.At this time,the emergence of "Internet +Healthcare" timely provides a new way to solve the problem.The outbreak of the novel coronavirus in 2020 has provided an unprecedented opportunity for "Internet plus health care",which has risen rapidly in a short period of time and has broad prospects for development.However,our "Internet + healthcare" industry as a whole is in a state of loss,many enterprises have to be forced to withdraw.Therefore,it is worth exploring how to build a sustainable profit model for Internet Healthcare enterprises.At present,the research of the profit model of Internet Healthcare enterprises is still in the preliminary exploration stage.Most of the existing research also focuses on the theoretical aspect,and relatively few domestic case studies.As a typical Internet Healthcare enterprise,Ping An Health was the first to go public in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.It has strong resource background and first-mover advantage.However,since its establishment,Ping An Health has invested a lot but still has not made a profit,which is an important representative study on the profit model of Chinese Internet Healthcare enterprises,and is worthy of further study.In this paper,we will start from the components of the profit model,combined with the concept of "Internet + Healthcare" and the industry development status,summarize several common profit models in the Internet Healthcare industry at present.Then we explore the profit model of Ping An Health,analyze its profit model and summarize its characteristics and business performance according to its development history and business content,and then conduct financial evaluation on the profit model of Ping An Health according to Professor Huang Shizhong’s diagnostic financial statement analysis theory.Finally,it compares and analyzes the problems existing in Ping An Health’s profit model with its peers’ "Ali Health" and "Jingdong Health",analyzes the possible causes,and puts forward corresponding feasible solutions,hoping to provide ideas for promoting the development of the Internet Healthcare industry.
