The Income Increasing Effect Of Members’ Participation In The Exchange Of Production Technology In Cooperatives

High quality development of agriculture is related to the national economy and people’s livelihood.Agricultural production technology is an important guarantee for improving farmers’ income and realizing high quality development of agriculture.Farmers’ specialized cooperatives(cooperatives for short)are important media of production technology exchange and play a vital role in the process of agricultural technology popularization.In order to better serve and develop the local tea industry,promote the increase of farmers’ income.Based on the tea farmers’ cooperative of Anxi County,this paper puts forward the importance,necessity,significance and problems of cooperative production technology exchange based on relevant research.According to the problem,corresponding hypothesis is proposed,influencing variables are selected,questionnaires and empirical analysis are designed,and finally countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.Firstly,the research background is analyzed from the development status of the tea industry to form perceptual cognition of the tea industry.Then it extends from the current development status to the problems existing in the development of tea industry,analyzes the problems,and believes that the exchange of production technology is an important way to increase the income of tea farmers.According to the analysis,the function of cooperatives is mostly communication function,which provides guarantee for better technical exchange.To this end,the study raises the following questions: Does the participation of members in the cooperative production technology exchange have an income-increasing effect? According to previous research conclusions,can we also believe that production scale and total factor productivity have a significant impact on income increase? What are the specific measures to improve the income of tea farmers?Secondly,the theoretical basis.In view of the problem,an appropriate theoretical framework model is selected,based on the cooperation theory of agricultural cooperatives,the mechanism of income increase caused by cooperation is expounded,and the income increase can be realized through appropriate economies of scale(hereinafter referred to as scale effect)and the improvement of total factor productivity,that is,the hypothesis is put forward.Third,data and evidence.Two field surveys were conducted in 2020 and 2021,and a total of 682 valid questionnaires were collected.The endogenous transformation model(ESR)was selected as the research model to analyze the income increasing effect of members’ participation in the production technology exchange of cooperatives.The research results show that the average income increasing effect of production technology exchange of cooperatives,ATT= 0.81,700 yuan,is significant,which is realized through the scale effect and the improvement of total factor productivity.The empirical results were verified by PSM model.The results of PSM showed that all the control group were within the common value range,while a small part of the treatment group were not within the common value range,and concentrated in the part with high propensity score.Further,it is found that the income increase effect has a heterogeneous feature,that is,the influence of age on the dependent variable: when the dependent variable is 0.1,age and income show a weak inverse relationship.The influence of education on the dependent variable: when the dependent variable is 0.1 to 0.4 and 0.6(the highest),the education has a positive relationship with the dependent variable,while when the dependent variable is 0.5 and 0.7 to 0.9,the education has a negative relationship with the dependent variable.The influence of farming years on dependent variables: The relationship between farming years and independent variables is normally distributed.The influence of the farming population on the dependent variable: the more the farming population is,the more factors will be put into production.When other conditions are unchanged,the dependent variable will continue to grow.The impact of production scale on dependent variables: Production scale is an important factor of production.With the continuous expansion of scale,it is found that the dependent variable maintains a positive relationship with it from 0.1 to 0.9.In order to test the conclusion,this paper chooses the intermediary effect to test.The intermediary effect shows that the direct effect of scale on income increase is 31.1%,and the indirect effect(intermediary effect)is 11.2%.The direct effect of total factor productivity is 31.2% and the indirect effect is 10.5%.That is,the direct effect is greater than the indirect effect,and the total effect can better explain the impact of scale factor and total factor productivity factor on income increase.In summary,the following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: it is necessary to promote the exchange of production technology in cooperatives;The increase of membership income should emphasize the rationality of production scale and the improvement of total factor productivity;In the exchange of cooperative production technology should be "individualized";The exchange of production technology in cooperatives can provide helpful help in the application of membership income increase.
