With the rapid development of China’s insurance industry,the insurance brokerage industry has gradually entered the public’s perspective and become an important component of China’s insurance market.As an important intermediary in the insurance market,insurance brokers have played an irreplaceable role in improving the insurance market mechanism,standardizing the operation of the insurance market,and maintaining the healthy development of the insurance market.Despite more than 20 years of rapid development,compared with the advanced foreign insurance brokerage industry,China’s insurance brokerage industry is still in its infancy,facing a series of challenges and huge development opportunities.Against the backdrop of rapid economic development,demographic transformation,and the arrival of the post epidemic era in China,the challenges and opportunities faced by the insurance brokerage industry are further highlighted.How to cope with possible challenges,seize potential opportunities,grasp the future direction,and create value for enterprises in the new situation is a question that every insurance broker must consider.In order to explore the development strategy of insurance brokerage companies in the new situation,this article takes M Insurance Brokerage Company as the research object to conduct a case study.Firstly,this article summarizes the relevant literature on insurance brokerage research at home and abroad,introduces the concepts and theoretical basis related to insurance brokerage,thereby laying a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Secondly,this thesis analyzes the development status of M Insurance Brokerage Company.Through an analysis of M Insurance Brokerage Company’s business scope,business status,human resources,and interviews with relevant personnel,this thesis finds that M Insurance Brokerage Company has problems in business development,customer development,and talent structure.Thirdly,this thesis analyzes the development environment of M Insurance Brokerage Company.The macro environment includes the political environment,brokerage environment,social environment,and technological environment.The industry environment includes the competition of existing enterprises in the industry,the bargaining power of buyers,the bargaining power of suppliers,and the threat of alternatives.The internal environment includes the strengths and weaknesses of M Insurance Brokerage Company.Fourthly,based on the above analysis,this thesis formulates development strategies for M Insurance Brokerage Company,including clarifying the strategic choices,company vision,and strategic objectives of M Insurance Brokerage Company.On this basis,this thesis identifies an enhanced strategy and strategic alliance for M Insurance Brokerage Company at the company level,and identifies the focus strategy for the individual life insurance market and a differentiation strategy for other markets.Finally,this thesis proposes safeguards for the strategic implementation of M Insurance Brokerage Company,including strengthening customer management,strengthening financial management,optimizing the talent structure,deepening the application of technology,and improving internal control.This thesis has important theoretical and practical significance: first,the research of this thesis has certain enlightenment significance for understanding the development path and development problems of insurance brokerage companies;second,this study has a certain reference significance for insurance brokerage companies on how to formulate development strategies under the new situation;third,this thesis has a certain reference value for the regulatory authorities to improve the insurance intermediary regulatory system.
