Rural tourism has become one of the important industries for my country’s rural development in the next five years.Rural residents are the primary members of rural communities, and the various power perceptions they obtain from the tourism industry in their villages will directly affect the long-term development of rural tourism. At present, the overall rural tourism industry in my country is still in the exploratory stage.Due to the influence of various objective and subjective factors, most of the residents in rural communities have drifted away from the groups developed by the rural tourism industry and are in a weak state of losing power and speechlessness. The lack of power has a high probability of affecting the sustainable development of tourism in the village. Therefore, how to enhance the power perception that the residents of rural communities obtain from rural tourism,so that they can build a rural tourism community with village committee organizations, tourism development enterprises and other rural tourism stakeholders, which is an important challenge for the sustainable development of rural areas. This study selects Zheng Jiabang Village,Hubei Province as the research case, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods.Quantitative data is obtained from data collected by questionnaires, and qualitative data is obtained through interviews and texts.Field investigations on empowerment of rural tourism communities in this village Results The exploratory factor analysis method was used to determine the content of rural tourism community’s tourism empowerment and the factors affecting the rural tourism community’s empowerment.Independent sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the differences in the status quo of rural tourism communities’ empowerment by various factors Finally, according to local conditions, the author proposed a path to increase the power of rural tourism in Zheng Jiabang Village.Specifically, the results of this study mainly include the following aspects:(1)The current analysis results of the five dimensions of rural tourism community empowerment,Zheng Jiabang village community tourism psychological empowerment(97.40%,4.33),social empowerment(96.45%,4.33),cultural empowerment(93.98%,4.2)recognized The level of economic empowerment(60.23%,3.58)and political empowerment(53.08%,3.43)are relatively low.(2)Research has found that there are eight factors that directly affect the tourism empowerment of residents in Zheng jiabang Village, namely age, education level, industry engaged in,individual annual income, organizational factors, capital factors, motive factors, and conflict factors.Among them, age, education level, industry engaged in,and average personal annual income have significant effects on politics and economy respectively;organizational factors have a significant impact on Zhengjiabang Village residents’ tourism political empowerment;capital factors have significant effects on Zheng Jiabang Village residents’ tourism political empowerment Significant impact;motive factors have a significant impact on the tourism economic empowerment of residents in Zheng Jiabang Village;conflict factors have a significant impact on tourism psychological empowerment.(3)Based on the previous research, two paths for empowerment of rural tourism communities are proposed. The first is the top-down path of empowerment based on the group.First,it is necessary to classify the rural tourism community groups, then identify the factors influencing the tourism empowerment of each group, and finally determine different ways of empowerment according to each group;the second is bottom-up autonomy ways to increase power, such as villagers’ representatives actively taking villagers’ suggestions and building a cooperative relationship.
