Research On The Impact Of Community Empowerment On Residents' Support For Rural Tourism Development

In recent years,as China's economic situation has become better,the living standards of urban and rural people have continued to improve,and the tourism and leisure industry has also become increasingly prosperous.The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has proposed the strategy of "village rejuvenation",and the tasks of revitalizing rural industries,talents,culture,ecology,and organizations have also risen to the national strategic level.Rural tourism,as an important carrier for the revitalization of rural industries,has developed rapidly under this background.However,in the process of rural tourism development,problems such as uneven tourism returns,low community participation,and inability to protect residents' rights and interests have affected the sustainable development of local rural tourism.How to effectively promote residents to support local tourism development and give full play to the subjective initiative of residents to participate in tourism development is a problem that is generally concerned by the industry and academia.Based on the above background,this article focuses on the perceptions of community residents about supporting the development of rural tourism.Based on the community empowerment theory,this paper creatively builds a research model that uses the tourism community psychological ownership as an intermediate variable to explore the relationship between community empowerment,tourism community psychological ownership and residents' support for rural tourism development.Through the empirical research on the residents of rural tourism communities,this paper reveals the internal mechanism that the four dimensions of community empowerment affect residents' attitude of supporting rural tourism development.The research results show that community empowerment and tourism community psychological ownership are important antecedents of the impact of residents' support for rural tourism development.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Economic empowerment,psychological empowerment,and social empowerment are positively affecting the tourism community psychological ownership.Ownership;(2)Economic empowerment,psychological empowerment,and social empowerment are positively affecting residents' support for rural tourism development;(3)The tourism community psychological ownership is positively affecting residents' support for rural tourism development;(4)Tourism community psychological ownership plays a partial mediation role between economy,social empowerment and support for rural tourism development,plays a completely mediation role between psychological empowerment and support for rural tourism development.Through exploring the relationship between the development of rural tourism and the attitudes of residents,this paper aims to provide theoretical support and management suggestions for the government,enterprises and other tourism development leaders to improve the support of residents and promote the participation of residents(community)in the future.
