Research On The Strategy Of Reducing Cost And Increasing Efficiency For Delivery Business Of W Branch Company

With the rapid development of internet economy and e-commerce,China’s express delivery industry has become one of the representatives of the "new economy",and is facing broader development prospects in the post-pandemic era of online consumption upgrading.However,in the transportation,sorting,delivery,and management processes,China Post Delivery,as the earliest express delivery service operator,still faces chaotic and complex problems,resulting in high enterprise costs.Therefore,postal enterprises must take effective cost reduction and efficiency improvement measures to improve core competitiveness and survival ability.As a national industry team,China Post Group has always held a large market share in the Chinese express delivery industry and has undertaken the responsibility of providing "universal service" for the country.Over the years,China Post has gradually achieved market operation through reform.However,compared with the changes in the market environment and intensified competition,China Post has not been able to escape the high cost of driving production.Therefore,postal enterprises must adopt scientific and effective cost reduction and efficiency improvement measures to ensure survival and development in the face of competition.This paper takes the W branch of China Post Group Corporation as the research object.Through the phenomenon of high cost and low efficiency in the delivery business of W branch,under the guidance of the logistics cost iceberg theory,we mainly attribute the cost problem of the delivery business of W branch to direct and indirect costs,and further analyze the specific causes of cost problems from the aspects of environment and process through the PEST analysis method.Based on the theory of process optimization,we propose a series of optimization measures from the aspects of receiving and sending,sorting and distribution,transportation,management and delivery processing,in order to reduce enterprise operating costs,improve efficiency,solve process problems,and provide reference value for the sustainable development of the postal delivery industry.
