| Economy in China is at an important stage of high-speed growth to high-quality development.Limited by the impact of the global epidemic and Sino-US trade frictions,the macro-economy is facing the triple pressures consisting of weakening expectations,shrinking demand and supply shocks.Building a high-quality development economy and achieving national stability and sustainable development is the primary task of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way,and high-quality economic development needs to be achieved through high-quality development of enterprises in the final analysis.Accelerating enterprise R&D investment,protecting the legitimate rights and interests of enterprise innovation output,and creating a good business environment are inseparable from the protection of intellectual property rights.By 2023,the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property rights has been carried out in China for 15 years,and four batches of 64 demonstration cities have been set up.Whether the implementation of the intellectual property protection system can achieve the original intention of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and stabilizing the order of fair competition in the market,thus promoting the high-quality development of enterprises,and even the high-quality development of the economy,is a major issue of common concern to the government and academia.This study focuses on the theme of "the impact path of intellectual property protection on the high-quality development of enterprises" analysis.First of all,Defining the relevant concepts of intellectual property protection and high-quality development of enterprises by combining the existing domestic and foreign documents on intellectual property protection and high-quality development of enterprises,.Based on externality theory,information asymmetry theory,internal economic growth theory and competitive advantage theory,this study constructs a theoretical analysis framework that intellectual property protection affects the high-quality development of enterprises through direct and indirect channels,and analyzes the impact of intellectual property protection on the high-quality development of enterprises from the theoretical level;Secondly,based on the analysis of the current situation of intellectual property protection and high-quality development of A-share enterprises in China,this study measures the overall intellectual property protection intensity and high-quality development level of enterprises in China from 2010 to 2020 by using the measurement methods of the number of intellectual property trials and the construction of indicator system.Then,this study examines the impact of intellectual property protection on the high-quality development of enterprises by constructing a two-way fixed effect model,and uses the methods of replacing variables,replacing fixed effects,reducing samples,endogenous testing and quantile regression to test the robustness,and discusses the heterogeneity effect of intellectual property protection on the high-quality development of different regions and different types of enterprises,analyzes the two main ways that intellectual property protection affects the high-quality development of enterprises.Finally,according to the conclusions of the study,this paper puts forward policy recommendations for intellectual property protection to promote high-quality development of enterprises.The research results show that:(1)From the perspective of measurement results,the level of intellectual property protection and high-quality development of enterprises in China has been growing continuously from 2010 to 2020,but the performance of each sub-dimension of high-quality development of enterprises is different,showing a differential trend of growth and decline.(2)Intellectual property protection has significantly promoted the high-quality development and growth of China’s overall A-share enterprises,and the benchmark regression has passed a series of robustness tests.(3)The growth effect of intellectual property protection on high-quality development of enterprises in different regions and with different characteristics shows significant heterogeneity.Intellectual property protection has a significant role in promoting the high-quality development of enterprises in the eastern region,key cities and non-state-owned enterprises,while it has no obvious incentive effect on the high-quality development of enterprises in the central and western regions,ordinary prefecture-level cities and state-owned enterprises.Secondly,intellectual property protection has significantly promoted the high-quality development of high-productivity and low-productivity enterprises,and its impact on low-productivity enterprises is more obvious.(4)Intellectual property protection can promote the improvement of high-quality development level of enterprises through the introduction of foreign capital and domestic independent innovation. |
