Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On Economic Growth In Western China

At present,the digital economy is in the ascendancy,leading the trend of future development.The arrival of the new era of digital economy will bring new momentum to our economic development,and the digital economy can provide new ideas for our economic development with its unique digital advantages.Digital economy has been mentioned many times in important meetings and reports.The development of digital economy has become a national strategy of China,and the western part of China also attaches more importance to the development of digital economy.Then,can the digital economy alleviate the impact of the unbalanced regional economic growth and promote the economic growth of the western part of China? Meanwhile,how does the digital economy drive the economic growth of the western part of our country? How to seize the opportunity in the age of digital economy and make the western region embrace a new leap forward?In view of the above problems,this paper comprehensively uses the method of literature research,theory and demonstration,to study the impact of digital economy on the economic growth of the western region.Firstly,by reading,combing and analyzing a large number of relevant literatures,this paper constructs an index system to measure the development level of digital economy in western China by summarizing the definition and essence of digital economy at home and abroad and combining with the measurement system of the development level of digital economy in the White Paper of China’s Digital Economy Development issued by the Academy of Information and Communication Technology of China.Secondly,based on the theory of economic growth,it discusses the theoretical logic analysis of digital economy promoting economic growth from micro and macro aspects.Thirdly analyze the western area of our country digital economy and economic growth the present situation and the problems in it;Finally,it proves the influence of digital economy on the economic growth of western region and how to promote the economic growth,and puts forward how to solve the problems in the economic growth of western region.This paper selects the data of 11 provinces,municipalities and districts in western China except Tibet Autonomous Region from 2007 to 2020.There are 20 three-level indicators from two dimensions of digital industrialization and industrial initialization,and uses entropy weight method to construct the digital economy level indicator system for empirical analysis.The main conclusions are as follows: First,the digital economy has a significant positive impact on the economic growth of the western region,and the digital economy has a different impact on the northwest and southwest regions,and the high economic level has a greater impact on the economic growth of the region.Second,digital economy not only has a significant positive impact on economic growth in the western region,but also promotes economic growth through the level of human capital.Based on the above theoretical analysis and empirical results,this paper based on the above in the development of digital economy and human capital three aspects of relevant countermeasures and suggestions for reference.
