Research On The Path Of Promoting Urban-rural Integration Through Digital Economy In Western Region

China has eliminated absolute poverty by 2020,and the next task is to gradually eliminate relative poverty and achieve common prosperity for all people.However,uneven regional development and unbalanced urban and rural development are constantly widening the income and living gaps between different groups,becoming a major obstacle on the road to achieving common prosperity.As the world moves into the information age,the digital economy is developing rapidly in China,influencing economic and social development in every way.Similarly,the digital economy,with its permeability,integration and universality,is also influencing the development of urban-rural integration.The western region of China has been relatively slow to develop compared to the eastern region,and the basis for urban-rural integration is weaker than that of the eastern region.Therefore,it is of great significance for China to narrow the urban-rural gap,promote balanced development between regions and achieve common prosperity by studying the path of digital economy to promote urban-rural integration in the western region.This paper takes the path of digital economy to promote urban-rural integration in the western region as the research object,and the research content is as follows:Taking the theories related to urban-rural integration and digital economy as the theoretical basis,this paper firstly objectively examines the current situation of urban-rural integration and digital economy development in the western region,analyzes the realistic basis,realistic dilemmas and inner links of digital economy to promote urban-rural integration in the process of practice,secondly collects and collates 2011-2020 western 12 provincial panel data of 12 provincial administrative units in western China from 2011 to 2020,and measure the development level of urban-rural integration and digital economy in western region through entropy value method,after that,use Stata software to conduct Hausman test,choose two-way fixed effect model to study the promotion role of digital economy on urban-rural integration in western region,meanwhile,introduce heterogeneity analysis in the empirical evidence to further explore whether national policies will have influence on digital economy to promote urban-rural integration in western region The paper concludes that the digital economy in the western region has the potential to promote urban-rural integration.The main findings of this paper are as follows:(1)The development of digital economy in the western region has a latecomer advantage and can effectively influence urban-rural integration in practice,and it is feasible for the digital economy in the western region to promote urban-rural integration.(2)The big data experimental zones set up by the state will have a certain influence on the digital economy to promote urban-rural integration,which provides certain new ideas for the digital economy to promote urban-rural integration development.(3)The main paths for the digital economy to promote urban-rural integration in the western region include: using the digital economy to regulate and promote the flow of urban-rural labour factors in the western region;using the digital economy to empower and optimise the urban-rural industrial structure in the western region;using the digital economy to increase efficiency and expand the scale of the urban-rural market in the western region;using the digital economy to improve quality and create a model for urban-rural integration in the western region;using the digital economy to innovate and promote urban-rural integration in the western region by category.The digital economy will be used to promote urban-rural integration in the western region.Finally,the digital economy is a unique way of developing urban-rural integration as China enters the information age,and is a way of building smart cities and digital villages,demonstrating the rightful role of a responsive government and an effective market.The digital economy continues to narrow the urban-rural gap and accelerate urban-rural economic development in the western region by promoting the flow of urban-rural labour factors,optimising the urban-rural industrial structure and expanding the scale of urban-rural markets in the western region,and plays an important role in solving the problem of unbalanced development between regions in China and realising Chinese-style modernisation.
