Research On High-quality Economic Development Of Ethnic Areas

China’s economy has changed from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage,and industrial structure upgrading is an important way for China to achieve high-quality economic development in the new era.At present,China’s three industrial structures have been steadily upgraded,and gradually showing a high-end development trend.However,in ethnic areas,there are still problems such as weak industrial foundation,slow development,and lagging overall economic level.Ethnic regions that have just taken off the hat of poverty must catch up,promote the upgrading of industrial structure,achieve high-quality economic development,and narrow the gap with developed regions.In view of this,this paper studies the impact and path of industrial structure upgrading on the high-quality economic development of ethnic areas,which is helpful to analyze the practical problems of industrial structure upgrading and high-quality economic development in ethnic areas,which is of great significance to the economic development of ethnic areas.This paper sorts out domestic and foreign literatures and combines relevant theories to define the concept of industrial structure upgrading and high-quality economic development.Guided by the new development concept,the evaluation index system of high-quality economic development in ethnic areas was constructed,and the comprehensive index of high-quality economic development and the five-dimensional development index of ethnic areas from 2000 to 2020 were calculated by using the entropy weight TOPSIS method,and the results showed that the high-quality economic development level of ethnic areas showed an overall upward trend.Then,the industrial structure upgrading is divided into two dimensions: industrial structure rationalization and advanced,and the impact and path mechanism of industrial structure upgrading in ethnic areas on high-quality economic development are empirically tested with the help of panel models.The empirical regression results show that the rationalization and upgrading of industrial structure significantly promote the high-quality economic development of ethnic areas,and the promotion effect of advanced industrial structure is slightly stronger than that of industrial structure rationalization.The process of upgrading the industrial structure in ethnic areas can improve the level of high-quality development by promoting the development of innovation,coordination,greenness and sharing,while the rationalization of industrial structure has no significant impact on the opening level of ethnic areas.Finally,based on theoretical analysis and empirical test,countermeasures and suggestions for promoting high-quality economic development in ethnic areas are put forward.
