The textile and clothing industry is one of the pillar industries in China’s economic and social development,and plays an important role in the national economy.Clothing is the basic consumer goods for people,but with the improvement of people’s quality of life,consumers’ requirements for clothing are becoming higher and higher.At the same time,due to the strong correlation between the growth of the textile and clothing industry and the macro economy,the global economic growth has slowed down in recent years,and the cost of raw materials and labor has increased,causing the operating costs of traditional clothing enterprises to rise.In addition,the uncertainty at home and abroad has increased,leading the clothing industry to enter a period of slow growth.However,in the overall downturn of the industry,Heilan Home has shown a sustained development trend thanks to its mature asset-light operation model.Therefore,studying the performance of Heilan Home’s asset-light operation model can provide experience for other clothing enterprises to improve operational management.This paper adopts the method of combining empirical research and case analysis to discuss the impact of asset-light operation model on business performance of clothing enterprises.In terms of empirical analysis,relevant data of the clothing industry in CSMAR database from 2011 to 2021 are selected to determine whether the data is suitable for regression analysis through unit root test and Hausman test.Selecting fixed effect regression analysis to verify whether the asset-light operation model is conducive to improve the business performance of clothing enterprises.Meanwhile,taking Heilan Home as a example and based on the financial data of the enterprise from 2013 to 2021,analyzes key financial information and operating materials,explores the specific practices implemented by Heilan Home in the asset-light operation process,and discusses the impact of asset-light operation on business performance from the perspective of vertical and horizontal comparison.This paper discusses how this model affects the business performance of Heilan Home from the perspective of the impact path of asset-light operation model.Through empirical study,it has been found that the asset-light operation model in the clothing industry can promote the improvement of business performance to a certain extent.The case study found that the asset-light model of Heilan Home mainly focuses on outsourcing production,trusteeship,marketing network,supply chain management,and brand marketing,which reasonably allocates the enterprise’s element resources,focuses on creating the enterprise’s core advantages,and effectively promotes the improvement of business performance.However,further in-depth research has found that the impact path of Heilan Home’s asset-light model still faces issues such as product quality,inventory backlog,difficulty in financing,and competitor cultivation.In response to these issues,this paper also proposes optimization suggestions to strengthen product quality control,accelerate inventory turnover,choose other financing methods,and improve independent research and development capabilities,so that enterprises can maximize the advantages of the asset-light model,Furthermore,it provides reference for clothing enterprises who implementing asset-light operation model. |
