Research On The Spatial Heterogeneity And Influencing Factors Of China's High-quality Urbanization Leve

Urbanization is an objective trend of modern economic and social development,and also an important dimension to measure regional development.Since the reform and opening up,China has vigorously promoted urbanization,and the level of urbanization has been significantly improved.In 2019,the national urbanization rate exceeded 60% for the first time,achieving a historic leap.However,the traditional extensive development mode of "emphasizing speed but neglecting quality" has brought many serious problems such as resource waste,ecological environment pollution,etc.Therefore,the quality of urbanization development must be further improved.High-quality urbanization is the only way to realize modernization in China,and it is of great significance to realize the transformation of social and economic development and enhance the comprehensive national strength.In the eighth part of the National Fourteenth Five-Year Plan in 2021,the high-quality urbanization strategy was clearly put forward.However,due to the impact of geographical location,economic development level and other factors,there is still a large gap in the quality of urbanization across China,and the development between regions is extremely unbalanced.In order to realize the overall high-quality development of China’s urbanization level,it is necessary to explore the spatial differentiation characteristics and influencing factors of high-quality urbanization level nationwide,so as to analyze the problems more deeply and put forward targeted suggestions.This paper takes 31 provinces in China as the research object,referring to the requirements of the 14 th Five-Year Plan,defines high-quality urbanization as "peopleoriented,urbanization with perfect layout,coordinated development of urban and rural areas,and comprehensive improvement of urban quality",and measures high-quality urbanization from multiple dimensions such as population,economy,life,ecology,environment,urbanization layout,and degree of urban-rural coordination.The entropy method is used to measure the urbanization quality of China’s provinces from 2015 to2021,analyze the spatial differentiation characteristics of China’s urbanization construction,and explore the factors that affect the urbanization quality level by using the spatial measurement method.The results show that:(1)The overall level of urbanization quality in 31 provinces in China is showing an upward trend,and there is a clustering feature in spatial distribution.According to regional distribution characteristics,it can be divided into three major zones: east,west,central.However,regional development is imbalanced,and the level of urbanization quality shows a spatial distribution pattern of gradually decreasing from east to west.(2)In terms of influencing factors,the degree of marketization,foreign trade,local financial level,and technological level play an important role in the quality level of urbanization,and various influencing factors have varying degrees of impact on the eastern,central,and western regions.Based on the above analysis of the spatial differentiation characteristics and influencing factors of China’s urbanization quality level,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions for China’s high-quality urbanization construction: strengthen infrastructure construction and improve the allocation efficiency of public resources;Promote the process of high-quality urbanization construction in the western region,and realize the overall improvement of urbanization quality in the country;Gradually remove the dual structure of urban and rural areas and realize the coordinated development of urban and rural areas;Promote high-quality economic development and reasonably arrange financial expenditure;We will strengthen innovation and help high-quality urbanization.
