Research On The Development Of Rural Elderly Services In The Context Of Rural Revitalization

In recent years,with the deepening of ageing in rural areas,rural areas have become a key focus and a difficult area for the development of elderly care.Elderly services are a matter of people’s well-being and affect the development of the economy and society and the production and life of the people.In the current context of rural revitalisation,how to solve the problem of the elderly in rural areas and promote the healthy development of rural elderly services is an issue that needs to be addressed urgently at present.As a nationally famous old revolutionary area and a former key county and city in the Luoxiao Mountain Area for poverty alleviation,J County in Jiangxi Province has a unique regional location and historical status.The study on the development of elderly services in J County has certain significance for the development of elderly services in other counties out of poverty,and also provides richer materials and examples to support the development of elderly services nationwide in the context of rural revitalisation.Therefore,taking J County as an example,this paper analyses the current situation of rural elderly service in J County by defining the concepts of ageing,rural revitalization and elderly service,and combining Maslow’s theory of hierarchy of needs,welfare pluralism theory and public service theory,using questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method,and finds that the development of rural elderly service in J County suffers from immaturity of the concept of rural elderly service development,immature role of rural elderly service The problems of the development of rural elderly services in J County include the immaturity of the development concept of rural elderly services,the lack of obvious role of the main body of rural elderly services and the failure of the supply of elderly services to meet the needs of the elderly.Through a systematic analysis of the causes of these problems,and taking into account the background of rural revitalization and the actual local situation,some countermeasure suggestions are put forward to establish a new concept of rural elderly service development under the background of rural revitalization,promote the diversified development of rural elderly service main bodies,and enrich the content of rural elderly service at multiple levels,which will help promote the development of rural elderly service in J County under the background of rural revitalization in a more comprehensive and more adaptable direction to the needs of the times.This will help to promote the development of rural elderly services in J County in a more comprehensive and contemporary direction.
