In recent years,due to the impact of the COVID-19,medicine has become a hot topic.The epidemic in recent years has brought impacts to social and economic development,as well as challenges and opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry.The current situation of the epidemic in China is stabilizing,but the pharmaceutical industry still attracts the attention of consumers both domestically and internationally.Thanks to the profound historical and cultural accumulation and the vigorous development of the pharmaceutical industry in the new era,Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises hold a pivotal position in the world’s pharmaceutical research and development and supply system,and many well-known pharmaceutical enterprises have emerged.However,across the country,there are also many smaller local pharmaceutical enterprises coexisting with large pharmaceutical enterprises.They face various development problems in the supply of pharmaceutical raw materials,production and processing,transportation and circulation,as well as research and development innovation.These enterprises often do not have scientifically precise strategic planning like large pharmaceutical enterprises,lack strategic formulation in market competition,and lack the ability to respond to environmental changes.This article selects Y Pharmaceutical Company,located in Xiangxi,Hunan,as the research object.Although it is located in an underdeveloped area that has recently lifted its poverty alleviation hat,the company has rapidly grown into a key local enterprise in a few years.In recent years,the turnover of enterprises has declined,and in the face of increasingly fierce market competition,there is a lack of effective response methods,indicating a lack of development motivation.Based on the above questions,research is conducted through literature analysis,comparative analysis,and questionnaire surveys to analyze the market competition environment in which the research object is located.Through reading and analyzing literature,summarize the relevant theories of strategic management by domestic and foreign scholars,and use their achievements as guidance and reference.Using methods such as PEST analysis,Porter’s Five Forces model,and SWOT analysis,analyze the development environment and current situation of Y Pharmaceutical Company,compare the current market status and development trends of the pharmaceutical industry,and adopt a matrix to further achieve quantitative analysis.Finally,the analysis concludes that Y Pharmaceutical Company should choose a differentiated competitive strategy and develop differentiated strategies for products,talents,brands,and marketing.It should propose safeguard measures in areas such as human resources,finance,marketing,and technological innovation to ensure the effective implementation of the enterprise’s market competition strategy.
