With the gradual advancement of China’s urbanization construction,a large number of rural population enter the city, some settle permanently in the city, some hover between the city and countryside, becoming an "amphibious" population. The reform of relevant policies and institutions has broken down the barriers of urban and rural mobility, and the floating population is increasing day by day.As a special floating group of our dual economic structure, the emergence of amphibious farmers in urban and rural areas provides a new perspective for our current economic and social development and urban and rural relations.Based on previous studies on population mobility and migration and combined with the background of citizenization development in our country, this thesis analyses that although the urban-rural mobility behavior of urban and rural amphibious farmers has improved farmers’ living standards and reduced the gap between urban and rural areas to some extent,it has hindered the new people-oriented urbanization construction and is not conducive to the large-scale integration and utilization of rural land resources. From the perspective of "push-pull" theory, this study selects variables from four levels including internal factors, external factors, flow factors and intermediate obstacles, and focuses on analyzing the influencing factors of "amphibious" farmers’ willingness to settle in cities.Descriptive statistics and multicollinearity analysis were carried out on the field interviews and questionnaire data of Shuanglong Village and Shishan Village in Tongcheng City,Anhui Province, and the significant factors were screened and further analyzed by binary logistic regression model. The survey results show that most of the interviewed "amphibian" farmers are more inclined to settle down in the city in view of the good development status of the city and the relevant national policies of citizenization and urbanization, rather than amphibious flow.According to the results of binary regression analysis,it can be seen that some factors of the individual characteristics, family characteristics, urban characteristics, returning characteristics, flow characteristics and intermediate barriers selected in this study have passed the series of tests, and are significantly correlated with the willingness of "amphibious" farmers to settle down in cities. On this basis, the author puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions from the four dimensions of individual, society, economy and time.First of all,we should increase the vocational training of "amphibious" farmers and cultivate a new type of high-quality farmers.Secondly, improve the social integration of "amphibious" farmers and realize substantial citizenization; Finally, accelerate the reform of land transfer system to solve the "worries" for "amphibious" farmers to settle down in cities.
