With the strengthening trend of global economic globalization, the number of multinational corporations is increasing, leading to intensified competition on a global scale. In this context, the logistics and courier industry faces tremendous competitive pressure, and human resources have become a core element in the competition among enterprises. However, the management of human resources in logistics companies is not simply about stacking human elements but requires effective and rational allocation of human resources to fully leverage their benefits and achieve more efficient corporate development. In this process, the synergy between human resources and other resources is crucial and plays an important role in promoting the healthy development of logistics companies. Therefore, optimizing human resource allocation has become an important issue in the field of logistics company management.Especially in the context of China’s relatively late development in the logistics industry compared to Europe and the United States, coupled with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, logistics companies are facing insufficient development and an inadequate human resource allocation system. This study takes A Express Delivery Company as a case study and applies relevant theories of optimizing human resource allocation.Through interviews and questionnaires, the internal human resource allocation issues of the company are revealed.Quantitative analysis of the interview and questionnaire results is conducted using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, providing a comprehensive and objective assessment of the human resource allocation issues and their causes in A Express Delivery Company. The study found the following human resource allocation problems in A Express Delivery Company: severe employee turnover, low employee cohesion, insufficient incentive measures, significant impact from the pandemic, low job-person fit, unreasonable management structure, organizational mismatches, and talent shortages.Based on the theories of human capital,job-person fit,and Pareto optimality, strategies for optimizing human resource allocation in A Express Delivery Company are proposed. These strategies include organizational restructuring, clarifying job responsibilities and tasks, establishing effective communication channels, and formulating reasonable job division models.Additionally,to ensure the smooth implementation of human resource allocation optimization, this study also proposes safeguard measures in terms of organizational leadership, management systems, human resources, and financial support. These measures aim to ensure the optimization and sustainable development of talent allocation in A Express Delivery Company.Furthermore,as the study reveals that the identified human resource optimization issues are commonly found in other express delivery companies, the research results have certain reference and generalizability value for addressing human resource optimization in the logistics industry in China.
