At present,China’s industrial Internet is developing rapidly,and industry giants such as Haier,BYD and Sany Heavy Industry are leading the development of manufacturing to the direction of platform.With the extensive and in-depth application of digital technology,industrial Internet platform develops rapidly,but customer participation increases the complexity of the platform,that is to say,customer participation may become an important factor affecting the benefits of the platform.Generally speaking,digital orientation can effectively integrate technology strategy and business strategy of enterprises.On the basis of attaching importance to digital technology,the platform enterprises can find ways to create value by using customer information.However,current studies have paid little attention to how platform enterprises improve their performance by managing customer participation under the digitalized orientation.Under the background of digital transformation in manufacturing industries,in order to study the influence mechanism of customer participation on industrial Internet platform capability and enterprise performance under the digitalization guidance of Chinese manufacturing enterprises,this thesis introduces the variable of customer participation according to the logic main line of "digitalization orientation--industrial Internet platform capability--enterprise performance",and mainly discusses the following contents: For platform enterprises,the impact of digitalization orientation on industrial Internet platform capability;During the construction and development of the platform,we divide customer participation into two forms:customer as data provider and customer as data analyst,and explore the influence of these two forms of participation on the capability of industrial Internet platform and the financial performance and non-financial performance of enterprises respectively.For platform enterprises,the impact of industrial Internet platform capability on financial performance and non-financial performance.In order to study the above contents,this thesis conducted a questionnaire survey for employees of platform enterprises in the manufacturing field.Based on the relevant data of 335 questionnaires,this thesis uses SPSS and AMOS to conduct statistical analysis and hypothesis testing,and draws the following conclusions:(1)For platform enterprises,digital orientation positively affects industrial Internet platform capability.(2)Digital orientation can positively affect industrial Internet platform capability through customers as data providers and data analysts.(3)Customers,as data analysts,positively affect the non-financial performance of enterprises.(4)Industrial Internet platform capability positively affects financial performance and non-financial performance of enterprises.Finally,it is concluded that the early stage of the platform development is based on the enterprise’s own digital platform capacity building,and the later stage is based on the platform customer value mining.
