In recent years, global economic development has become more uncertain and trade frictions are constant. In this situation, food security is of great importance and the basic position of agriculture has become more and more prominent. As China and Russia are both large agricultural countries and geographically close to each other, the inherent advantages have led to a gradual strengthening of economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia, with frequent trade exchanges and an overall fluctuating growth in the scale of bilateral agricultural trade. At the same time, the digital economy has been developing rapidly since the21 st century and has gradually become the core force leading the technological revolution, industrial change and influencing the international competition pattern. The convergence of the digital economy and agriculture has led to a deepening digitisation of agriculture, which presents significant opportunities for trade in Russian and Chinese agricultural products. Thus,it is of great practical significance to sort out the concepts and conditions related to Sino-Russian agricultural trade in the context of the digital economy, and to study in depth the factors influencing Sino-Russian agricultural trade in the context of the digital economy.Firstly, the concepts such as agricultural products are defined and trade theories are elaborated based on the literature analysis method.Secondly,it compares the situation of Sino-Russian agricultural trade from 2012-2021 from the perspective of trade scale, trade structure and trade status through quantitative analysis, and appropriately analyses the problems of Sino-Russian agricultural trade. Then a theoretical analysis of the factors influencing Sino-Russian agricultural trade in the context of the digital economy is carried out from the perspective of political, economic, social and international factors, relying on relevant literature. Finally, the paper focuses on the construction of a multiple linear regression model and the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of Sino-Russian agricultural trade in the context of the digital economy. The results of the empirical analysis show that factors such as the level of development of the digital economy, the value added of agriculture and the dependence of agricultural imports have a significant contribution to the trade of agricultural products between China and Russia.Based on the above analysis, the proposed countermeasures to promote the development of Sino-Russian agricultural trade in the context of digital economy are mainly to increase the penetration rate of agricultural digital economy, optimize the structure of agricultural trade, strengthen bilateral cooperation mechanisms, reduce trade barriers, improve the construction of infrastructure and cooperation between China and Russia, and strengthen the cultivation of talents in related fields. The paper is then summarised, concluding that there is still more room for the development of Sino-Russian agricultural trade, and that influencing factors such as the level of development of the digital economy have a significant positive impact on Sino-Russian agricultural trade.
