Research On The Influence Of The Development Level Of EU Digital Economy On The Export Trade Of China Agricultural Products To EU

With the continuous emergence of new generation information technologies such as Internet,cloud computing,big data,artificial intelligence,Internet of Things,blockchain and 5G,the digital economy is experiencing rapid growth and rapid innovation,and has widely penetrated into other economic fields.The digital economy is changing the existing development trend of international trade and profoundly promoting the reform of international trade in today’s world.In recent years,the European Union has attached great importance to the development of digital economy,actively formulated digital development strategies,vigorously promoted the development of frontier key areas,and comprehensively promoted the digital transformation of economy and society.The development of digital economy in the European Union has had a profound impact on the international trade of member States.At the same time,China and the European Union are important trading partners of agricultural products.The European Union has become the third largest export region of agricultural products in China,and China also ranks among the top four in the total import and export of agricultural products in the European Union.Under the background of the vigorous development of digital economy,based on the important position of agricultural products trade between China and the European Union,this paper links digital economy with agricultural products trade between China and Europe,and studies the influence of digital economy development level of EU countries on China’s agricultural products export trade to Europe,with a view to revealing the effect of digital economy level of importing countries on China’s agricultural products export trade,and making suggestions for the high-quality development of China’s agricultural products export trade.Firstly,this paper analyzes the influence of the development level of EU digital economy on the export trade of China’s agricultural products to Europe,and explains the influence mechanism of trade cost reduction effect in three aspects: information and transaction,transportation and logistics,and trade compliance procedures.Secondly,this paper analyzes the current situation of agricultural products trade between China and EU and the development of digital economy in EU countries,and summarizes the development characteristics and trends of agricultural products trade between China and EU and the level of digital economy in EU.Then,based on the current situation analysis and theoretical analysis,this paper uses the European Union Digital Economy and Social Development Index(DESI)to measure the development level of digital economy in EU countries,taking 27 EU countries from2014 to 2020 as samples,and makes an empirical test on the effect and mechanism of the development level of digital economy in EU on China’s agricultural products export trade to Europe.The research results of this paper show that: firstly,the development level of digital economy in EU countries has a significant positive impact on the export trade of agricultural products from China to Europe;Second,the development level of EU digital economy has an influence mechanism to promote China’s export trade of agricultural products to Europe through the effect of reducing trade costs;Thirdly,the development level of digital economy in the EU has a heterogeneous influence on China’s agricultural products export trade to Europe,especially for countries with relatively developed digital economy in the EU.Based on the research conclusion,this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the high-quality development of China’s agricultural trade in the era of digital economy,including the following three aspects: first,deepen the digital economic cooperation between China and Europe and promote the growth of agricultural trade;Second,develop its own digital economy and optimize the import trade of agricultural products;Third,improve digital trade rules and promote the stable development of agricultural products trade.
