| In recent decades, the rapid development of the producer service s has provided important support for the adjustment of the domestic industrial structure, and the pace of expanding the trade of producer service is getting faster, which is conducive to allocating international factors to meet market demand. The construction of transportation infrastructure is a prerequisite for expanding foreign trade and developing an export-oriented economy. As emphasized in the "14th Five-Year Plan",China will speed up the construction of transportation infrastructure and continue to strengthen the interconnection with neighboring countries. Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze the relationship between the construction of transportation infrastructure and the trade in producer services.Based on the impact mechanism of transportation infrastructure construction on producer service trade, the article distinguishes four different transportation infrastructures, namely railways, highways, ports and aviation, and divides them into two trade directions: export and import of produc er services.Based on the national data from 2006 to 2019,we found the following : the construction of transportation infrastructure not only promotes the development of productive serv ice trade by improving logistics performance, but also produces the time-lag effect under the long-term accumulation of positive externalities generated by the construction of transportation infrastructure. It has promoted the development of productive ser vice trade in various countries, among which aviation infrastructure has played the greatest role.In terms of control variables,it is found that human capital accumulation can reduce the demand for foreign expertise and professional skills. In terms of heterogeneity analysis, two points are found the following: firstly, there are differences in the impact of the improvement of the quality of transportation infrastructure construction on different producer service industries, and its spillover effect of the transportation services is the most obvious.Secondly, for the countries with higher incomes and more advanced trade structures, the development of its productive service trade is less dependent on the construction conditions of transportation infrastructure, but it is just the opposite for developing countries. For example, the countries along “the Belt and Road” have shown a significant promoting effect. Therefore, based on the analysis, the article draws the conclusion that strengthening the construction of transportation infrastructure is of great significance to promoting the development of productive service trade. And,the following suggestions are put forward: firstly, strengthen the cooperation with the countries along the "Belt and Road" in the construction of transportation infrastructure.Secondly, improve the national transportation infrastructure construction level.Thirdly, cultivate human capital to enter the productive service industry. |
