| With the continuous change of new technologies,the increasingly complex competitive environment has brought new opportunities and challenges to enterprise innovation and sustainable development.Digital transformation has become the basic strategic choice for enterprises to obtain sustainable competitive advantage.As the source of transformation,digital capabilities can improve the competitive advantage of enterprises.Existing studies have discussed the promotion of digital capabilities to the competitive advantage of enterprises from many aspects,and believe that as a kind of advanced dynamic capabilities,the effectiveness of digital capabilities needs to be adjusted and matched within the organization.However,there is still a lack of systematic empirical test on the specific intermediate mechanisms through which digital capabilities can be transformed into the improvement of the competitive advantage of enterprises.Based on this,this thesis constructs a theoretical model from digital capability to competitive advantage,and identifies two intermediate mechanisms-business model innovation and technology innovation from the existing literature based on the dynamic capability theory and resource-based theory,shifts attention from a single capability perspective to the direct and indirect effects of technology and its model,and uses a large sample to test its impact mechanism,It provides important empirical evidence for opening the "process black box" of Solo’s paradox in the context of digital transformation,and enriches the relevant research on the results and mechanisms of digital capabilities at the enterprise level.This thesis first reviews and analyzes the relevant literature on digital capabilities,enterprise competitive advantages,business model innovation and technological innovation.Based on the dynamic capability theory,resource-based theory and existing literature,it puts forward the theoretical model and research assumptions of this thesis.Taking technology-intensive manufacturing enterprises from 2020-2023 as a sample,combining text analysis and questionnaires,Then SPSS.26 and AMOS software were used to test the research hypothesis and model.Research conclusions include the following points:First,there is a positive relationship between digital capability and enterprise competitive advantage.Digital perception ability,operation ability and resource collaboration ability provide a new way of resource allocation,enhance external search activities,and combine with pure physical entities to jointly improve competitive advantages.Second,business model innovation plays an intermediary role in the relationship between digital capabilities and enterprise competitive advantages.The improvement of enterprises’ digital capabilities has brought new ideas to discover and create value through the introduction of service-led competitive logic and the connection of external participants,which has effectively affected the innovation of enterprises’ business models.The logic and mechanism contained in it need to be released through new value propositions,value creation models and other forms to a certain extent,in order to better provide support for enterprises to build competitive advantages.Third,technological innovation plays an intermediary role in the relationship between digital capabilities and enterprise competitive advantages.With the digital transformation,the new operation mode and competitive situation have prompted enterprises to carry out technological innovation to adapt to the characteristics of the external environment,thus laying the foundation for enterprises to create competitive advantages. |
