Study On The Pattern Of World Maize Trade Network From The Perspective Of Complex Network

Corn is an important food crop in the world,its wide distribution,has become the world’s largest output of food crops,with the rapid development of animal husbandry and corn processing industry,its consumption is growing.With China’s accession to the WTO,the world corn trade continues to expand,and the competition in the corn market is becoming more and more fierce.China’s corn supply and demand are not balanced,and the trade deficit is relatively serious.The world corn trade is a complex economic system,and the corn trade among trading subjects forms the corn trade network.The study of the corn trade network is helpful to understand the changes of corn supply and demand among trading countries,discover the internal complex relationship between trading countries,master the pattern of international corn trade network,and provide certain reference for the better development of the world corn trade market.Firstly,this paper analyzes the world maize production,consumption and trade data in recent years,and finds that the world maize production,consumption and trade are all increasing.Then,the data of world corn trade in 2019 were selected,and the complex network analysis method was applied to build three networks of trading countries,trade volume and trade volume.The network patterns were analyzed from macro,medium and micro dimensions respectively,and then the comparative analysis was carried out.The results showed that the density of world corn trade network was low,trade distribution was uneven,trade relations were fragile,and the overall network lacked stability.The three networks all present a core-edge structure,with fewer core countries and insufficient driving capacity.The world maize trade network is a "large dispersion,small concentration" trade pattern with developed countries as the center,with a large amount of maize trade occurring in a few countries.Finally,it analyzes the impact of system differences from three aspects: trading country,trade volume and trade volume.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward three suggestions: first,optimize the structure and layout of corn trade.Second,China should implement differentiated maize trade cooperation mode.Third,China should enhance its influence and voice in the world corn market.
