| The reform of the administrative examination and approval system is an important means to optimize the institutional environment and enhance the advantages of the system in our country.It can further release the vitality of the market and promote the development of enterprises in our country.In the process of brand internationalization of Chinese enterprises,there is still no conclusion in the existing research whether domestic administrative approval will also promote its development.This article takes this as a starting point to explore the impact of administrative approval reform on the development of my country’s corporate brand internationalization.In this paper,the number of overseas trademarks applied by enterprises each year is used as a measure of brand internationalization.By constructing theoretical and empirical models,taking the micro data of Chinese industrial enterprises from2000 to 2013 as the research object,using multi-period double difference model,fixed effect model and etc.A variety of econometric methods examine the impact of administrative approval system reform on brand internationalization.The main conclusions are as follows:The first is to use the multi-period double difference method to study the impact of corporate brand internationalization caused by the reform of the administrative approval system when the parallel trend test is passed,and further use a series of robustness tests to study its impact on brand internationalization.The empirical results show that the administrative approval system leads to an increase in the internationalization of corporate brands and has a significant positive impact.Through the heterogeneity analysis,it is also found that the reform of the administrative examination and approval system has a more significant effect on the number of overseas trademark registrations of enterprises in eastern my country,domestic-funded enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises,and large-scale enterprises.In addition,through the inspection of the mechanism,the reform of administrative examination and approval can promote the number of overseas trademark applications of enterprises through institutional transaction costs and innovation incentives. |
