| In the context of the rapid development of the Internet,more and more enterprises take digital transformation as a strategic development direction.According to the statistics of the "2021 Chinese Digital Enterprise White Paper",as of 2021,42%of Chinese companies have supported the digital strategy as the core business support of the enterprise.Digital transformation is a long-term process that requires a lot of funds to invest in R&D and investment.Therefore,there are high requirements for enterprises’ financing capabilities.For enterprises,corporate customers affect the daily operation,strategic decision-making and development direction of enterprises.The most important source of operating income.Based on the above background,the study of whether the characteristics of the company’s customers will affect its digital transformation process have strong theoretical and practical significance.Therefore,this article selects the Shanghai-Shenzhen A-share listed company from 2014-2021 as a research object to conduct empirical research on how the customer concentration affects the digital transformation of the company.The research results show that the increase in customer concentration will curb the digital transformation of enterprises.Further analysis found that its R&D investment will decline in enterprises with a high concentration of customers,thereby curbing digital transformation of enterprises;at the same time,corporate information transparency with higher customer concentration will also decrease From the perspective of research,the greater the financing constraints of enterprises,the more corporate bias it to hold preventive cash flow,reduce the digital transformation investment of enterprises,and slow down the digital transformation process of enterprises.Through heterogeneity analysis,this article found that in non-state-owned enterprises,non-protected industries,and areas of low marketization,customer concentration and corporate digital transformation are more significant.At the same time,when the company’s own equity balance is relatively compared at high,the negative impact of customer concentration on the digital transformation of enterprises is also more significant.This study has certain theoretical and practical significance.Firstly,this research tests the impact of customer concentration on the digital transformation of enterprises,and in the certain sense,the research on the influencing factors of the digital transformation of enterprises;Secondly,this article has a negative conclusion that the increased customer concentration has a negative impact on the digital transformation of the enterprise after the customer concentration has a negative impact on the digital transformation of the enterprise on this basis,further analyzing mechanism analysis and heterogeneity analysis has enriched the relevant research content between the two to a certain extent;Thirdly,the research in this paper can provide reference for enterprises to adjust customer relationship correctly and formulate reasonable development strategy to a certain extent;Finally,the research in this paper provides relevant policy suggestions on how to promote the rapid development of enterprise digitalization. |
