With the deepening of the reform of the financial sector and the continuous improvement of the openness of the industry,the operation status of domestic banks has also changed greatly,and the situation of inter-bank competition has gradually changed from domestic to international.With the increasing pressure of competition,banks need to constantly improve their competitiveness to survive in the cruel market competition.From the current development status of the domestic banking industry,in order to win customers,banks are constantly upgrading their services,and the competition between the industry is becoming increasingly fierce.In such a fierce competitive environment,banks must strengthen their own management and make full use of human resources.As an important part of human resource management,the scientificness and fairness of the performance appraisal system will affect the improvement of the overall efficiency of the bank,and also affect the realization of the bank’s strategic objectives.Taking the performance appraisal system of account managers in C Branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank as the research object,this paper introduces related concepts of performance appraisal and elaborates relevant theories on the basis of combing the literature on performance appraisal of domestic and foreign scholars,and summarizes and analyzes the problems existing in the current performance appraisal system for account managers by conducting a questionnaire survey.In this paper,two performance assessment methods,key performance indicators(KPI)and balanced scorecard(BSC),are used in the research process.Combined with SPD Bank’s "three-year Action plan" strategy,performance assessment indicators of account managers are selected from four dimensions,namely finance,customers,internal business processes and learning and growth.The expert scoring method and analytic hierarchy process are used to scientifically assign the weight of the assessment indicators,and the optimized performance assessment system is constructed.At the end of the paper,the safeguard measures for the implementation of the optimization scheme of the performance assessment system for account managers are formulated.This paper aims to promote the performance appraisal system of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank C Branch to a scientific and reasonable direction by optimizing the performance appraisal system of customer managers in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank C Branch,so as to improve the performance of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank C Branch,effectively stimulate the enthusiasm of marketing staff,break the shackle of industry development,and help the implementation of the "three-year action plan".It helps Shanghai Pudong Development Bank C Branch to achieve production and operation objectives and maximize benefits,and provides reference for the performance assessment optimization of Chinese banking industry and other financial industries.
