Research On The Performance Of Semir Apparel Under Asset-light Operation Mode

The garment industry,which is in the ranks of traditional benchmark industries,has shown a relatively outstanding position in China’s economic system.With the upward trend of labor consumption and raw material costs,consumers at this stage continue to expand their own requirements,and the upward trend of the clothing industry has stagnated.Under such circumstances,what form of development is more suitable for clothing enterprises and how to optimize the industrial structure to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises have attracted more and more public attention.Based on the above background,scholars and entrepreneurs have gradually set their sights on the asset-light operation model and further put it into practice.This paper takes Semir apparel as the research object,studies its performance from the perspective of asset-light operation model,and writes optimization suggestions based on this,hoping that this research will gain some benefits on the asset-light operation model and the expansion field of performance.Firstly,with the help of existing literature and materials,the relevant concepts and theories of asset-light operation mode are comprehensively summarized,and its research background and significance are expounded,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the following more specific research cases.Secondly,with the help of case analysis,the development status of China’s garment industry,the background and overview of Semir apparel,the current asset-light operation mode and the financial characteristics of Semir apparel in the asset-light operation mode are introduced.Thirdly,based on the financial data of Semir apparel from 2017 to 2021,the four indicators of solvency,operating ability,profitability and development ability of Semir apparel under the asset-light operation mode are selected to analyze its financial performance vertically and horizontally.The three indicators of brand efficiency,R&D capability and marketing channel of Semir apparel under the asset-light operation mode were selected to analyze its non-financial performance.Then,in view of the problems existing in the performance of Semir apparel under the asset-light operation mode,optimization suggestions are put forward.Finally,the research content of this paper is summarized and the research prospect is proposed.The results of this paper show that under the asset-light operation mode,the profitability of Semir apparel is better,and the solvency and development ability are also maintained.The brand benefits of Semir apparel are better,and the marketing methods and R&D investment are also excellent;Semir apparel has strengthened its core competitiveness and shown an upward trend in shareholder value.At the same time,however,operational capacity has been compromised;In the process of operation,Semir apparel has the problems of serious inventory backlog,single financing channels and homogeneous products,and needs to increase corporate performance by accelerating inventory turnover,broadening financing channels and improving R&D capabilities.The innovation of this paper has two aspects: First,the research perspective is relatively novel.In this paper,when analyzing the performance of the case enterprises,it is divided into financial performance and non-financial performance segments,so as to discover more specifically and realistically why and how to optimize the performance of Semir apparel under the asset-light operation mode.Second,the research case is relatively unique.Taking Semir Apparel,a typical enterprise in the apparel and textile industry,as a case,combined with the asset-light operation model to analyze the financial performance of the enterprise,and put forward correlation suggestions accordingly,not only to analyze the enterprise,but also to provide reference for the industry.
