Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Product R&D Process Of Y Division Of W Company

With the development and completion of the modern science and technology system,concepts such as cloud computing,the Internet of Things,and artificial intelligence have been emerging,which have a great impact on the whole society and gradually become active elements in various economic fields.The concept of financial technology is also derived and gradually developed in this environment.The Y business unit of W Consumer Finance Company was established in 2018,mainly responsible for designing,developing and selling products related to the telephone customer service field,and providing closed-loop solutions for the customer service field.In the rapid development process of the business unit,due to the lack of attention to the product R&D process,the product R&D process has difficulties in cross-department collaboration,and the process implementation efficiency is low;The product demand planning is not clear,and the software quality is not high;Low efficiency of product research and development;The market competitiveness of products is insufficient.Therefore,there is a need to improve the product R&D process.Based on the Six Sigma theory,this paper uses the DMAIC practice framework to find key customers by combining the problems of product R&D process with customers through SIPOC method.Secondly,determine the goal of transformation by identifying customer needs and key quality characteristics.Thirdly,use the historical data and industry benchmark data in the project to find the root cause of the product R&D process problems through regression analysis,Pareto analysis and comparison of industry benchmark data.Finally,by combining agile development with the two-speed IT model and cooperating with the improvement of the key nodes of the R&D process,the improvement plan of the product R&D process is formulated and implemented.The implementation results show that the target values of software development productivity,defect density and automated test case coverage have been improved to some extent and reach the expected goals.Through the case study of the paper,the theory of the Six Sigma and DMAIC practice framework in the improvement of product R&D process has certain practical significance.At the same time,it also has certain reference significance for the improvement of product R&D process in the same industry.
