With the rapid development of the urban construction and global economy, the fire protection engineering plays more and more important role to promote the construction and economic of the city, protect the property and lives of the people and preserve the harmony of society. Meanwhile, the country has paid more attention on the security of the fire protection engineering and awareness of the people of fire safety is gradually increased. The quality of domestic fire protection engineering directly affects the prevention and resistance capacity of all the constructions. Further, if the fire protection engineering cannot operating normally, there will hidden a danger which is threatening the property and lives of the people and make an uncountable lost. Therefore, fire protection engineering is a key factor to allow people living and working in peace and to insure a stable development. Therefore, the fire protection company should keep them eyes on the management of itself. Only when the company makes the efforts on the optimization the process of fire engineering business, and reducing the defect rate of fire protection engineering, improving the quality, work efficiency and customer satisfaction can the satisfaction of customs increased.The thought of this article is to propose the problem, analyze the problem and overcome the problem. First of all, the article studied from the background of the fire protection engineering. After that, the article summary the necessity and importance of the optimization of process, and the, demonstrated the purpose and significance to determine the content, thought, technology roadmap and the method. Further, to defend the related theory and concept that is involved. The key role of this study is to arrange the Six Sigma management method and its related knowledge. Moreover, this article also has organized the current situation of the application of Six Sigma management method on fire protection engineering after constantly arranging, analyzing, comparing and summarizing. I have made the best preparation by refereeing the excellent achievement which was achieved by the former researchers to finish this article. Next, the research case was an informational manage project which was came from a fire protection company that I have been practiced. The company is a typical fire protection engineering company which has large scale and strong business ability. Therefore, this company is the very representative. This subject of this article is to optimize the process of this company’s business. Find out the problems appeared in the process according to the analysis of the current situation of the process. Finally, optimized the process by DMAIC model and conclude the cost of related project, qualified rate of test by the technical inspection department on the spot and defect rate of the functional test during engineering after the analysis and comparison..The innovation of this article was mainly embodied from the following aspects: (1) the innovation of fire protection engineering, as branch of architecture, the research on fire protection engineering can draw on the experience of architecture. At the same time, the quality of fire protection engineering was an important part of constructions. The development of fire protection engineering affects the development of architecture constantly. The quality of engineering, safety of produce, progress of the project and cost has become the critical problem that the fire protection engineering company needs to face. Therefore, how to improve the safety and quality awareness, maintain the project schedule, reduce the cost is necessary. Further, this article studied the DMAIC model to optimize and reorganize the process of fire protection engineering company to overcome the problem during the project and create value of the company; (2) from the research method, the article has construct a DMAIC model for fire protection engineering company to analyze the problem during the project. Further, this article has divided the project into five stages in accordance with the DMAIC model and analyzed the characteristics of each stage to find and propose an effective way to optimize. What’s more, this article has drawn a flow-process diagram on the basis of above study to compare the process before and after optimization clearly.This article has optimized the business process of fire protection engineering company by DMAIC model to show the application of the model on fire protection engineering and propose a new thought for the optimization of fire protection engineering.
