| As the industrial Internet and Internet of Things are being developed rapidly,the demand for communication equipment is rising rapidly in the market and there are many small and medium-sized equipment R & D manufacturers of the fifth-generation communication technology appeared in the market.In the field of Open Radio Access Network(O-RAN),the O-RAN technology has developed rapidly and gradually commercialized in the past two years.With the continuous expansion of the market scale,the pressure of competition in the world has also increased significantly.If equipment R& D and manufacturers want to obtain a competitive advantage in the market,they have to pay more attention to new product development and enhance their competitiveness of new product R&D activities.Company A is a start-up communication equipment R & D enterprise based on ORAN,which has already certain competitive advantage in the industry.However,with the continuous expansion of market scale in the past two years,the company’s business has developed and expanded rapidly.In the process of new product development,there have been a series of problems such as low cross-team cooperation efficiency,low quality of product,serious delay of project,and increased project risk.In order to meet the needs of the high-quality,high-efficiency and the low-cost strategy of company,the company needs to solve the outstanding problems of R & D to improve the company’s R & D strength.This paper takes the new product development process of Company A as the research object,and explores its optimization scheme based on the existing R & D process framework of Company A and combined with IPD theory and process optimization theory.First of all,through the company’s data survey and analysis,the current status of the existing R & D process is sorted out.Secondly,through face-to-face in-depth interviews with the company’s leaders,department managers and core employees,the R & D process problems are collected and diagnosed.The main problems are frequent design changes,low R & D efficiency and unstable quality.The main reasons for the above problems are imperfect design change assessment,extensive demand management,imperfect review mechanism,and imperfect R & D process.Finally,combined with the IPD theory and the R & D process framework of A company,the optimization objectives and principles are formulated.Through the optimization of the overall process,development sub-process and support process of new product development,the optimization implementation plan and its schedule are put forward.The corresponding safeguard measures for the implementation plan are formulated in organization,system and informatization aspects.The optimization of product development process is a continuous improvement process.It needs continuous evaluation and continuous improvement according to the company’s development strategy and the status of market environment.Company A is a typical representative of start-up companies in the wireless communication industry.It is hoped that the research of this paper can provide some reference and help for small and medium-sized enterprises in IPD application,new product R & D management,and product innovation management. |
