The Impact Of Fosun Pharmaceutical’s Strategic Transformation On Enterprise Performance From The Perspective Of Balanced Scorecard

Since the new medical reform in 2009,great changes have taken place in the development environment of China’s pharmaceutical industry.Since 2015,the consistency evaluation of generic drugs has been continuously promoted,prompting pharmaceutical companies to open up the path of R&D Innovation.The year 2016 is known as the first year of health care industry reform.Fosun Pharmaceutical,which has taken innovation as its corporate strategy before,took this opportunity to open the road of strategic transformation,our goal is to become“The leading international innovation enterprise in China”.Fosun Pharmaceutical has divided the strategic transformation goal into four strategic goals: Innovation,integration,internationalization and intelligentization,innovation is the core of strategic transformation of Fosun Pharmaceutical.Taking Fosun Pharmaceutical as an example,this paper analyzes the background,motivation and process of strategic transformation by means of case study,index analysis and comparative analysis,this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis on the influence of strategic transformation on enterprise performance,and understands the influence of strategic transformation on enterprise financial performance and non-financial performance.The analysis of this article is based on a balanced scorecard perspective,with the financial aspect focusing on the financial performance of the enterprise,collating and calculating the data from 2016 to 2021,horizontal and vertical comparative analysis of the enterprise’s profit,operation,debt repayment,growth capacity and cash flow,especially,calculated and analyzed the value of EVA in the last six years;The customer,internal process,and learning and growth dimensions focus on the non-financial performance of the business,and the customer dimensions focus on the revenue structure and brand impact,internal process level from the organizational structure,R&D,production,marketing analysis,learning and growth level from the staff training system,staff quality and enterprise ESG management level;At last,the paper analyses the stock price trend of Fosun Pharmaceutical in recent three years.The conclusions are as follows:(1)the strategic transformation of Fosun Pharmaceutical has a positive impact on the financial and non-financial performance of the enterprise.The ability of profit,operation and growth,the ability of value creation,the internal organization of R & D,production and marketing system are improved(2)the success of the strategic transformation of Fosun Pharmaceutical mainly comes from the basic realization of the strategic goal of“Innovation,integration,internationalization and intelligentization”;(3)the strategic transformation is not only the change of the strategic goal;It is matched by systematic changes in the internal organization.The strategic transformation of Fosun Pharmaceutical promotes the construction and perfection of internal organization such as production,research and development,marketing and so on.Finally,some suggestions are put forward:(1)improve the awareness of risk prevention and control;(2)pay attention to industry policy changes;(3)grasp the opportunity of digital transformation.Hope to be in the same transition or ready to transition of pharmaceutical enterprises to provide reference.
