Research On The Formation Mechanism Of Complex Problem Solving Ability Of New Agricultural Entrepreneurs

With the rise of the era of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” and the continuous progress of the strategy of “rural revitalization and common prosperity”,how to promote the economic development of “Agriculture,rural areas and farmers” through the development of entrepreneurial activities has become an important topic in academia.In practice,new agricultural entrepreneurs with high level of complex problem-solving ability are the main driving force to promote rural revitalization and achieve common prosperity,new agricultural entrepreneurs are faced with the problems of resource,expectation and cognition,but the existing literature can not open the “Black box” of the formation mechanism of complex problem-solving ability of new agricultural entrepreneurs.Based on the event system theory and social capital theory,this paper makes a comprehensive consideration of case typicality,theoretical constructiveness,longitudinal data availability and research convenience,Xu Haibo,a National Agricultural Labor model and founder of Younong eco-agriculture Co.,Ltd.,was selected to conduct an exploratory single-case study on his entrepreneurial experience of “Grinding one sword in ten years”during the period of 2013-2022,collecting data through various channels such as literature,archives,interviews and direct observation,and following the narrative logic of “Eventproblem-strategy-result”,based on the theory of “The features of complex problems-the type of social capital-the formation of complex problem-solving ability”,this paper conducts a progressive research and constructs a theoretical model.The findings of this paper are as follows: First,the complex problem-solving process of new agricultural entrepreneurs goes through two stages of “Insight-action”.Secondly,in the insight stage of complex problem solving,events with a certain intensity can draw attention to new agricultural entrepreneurs by interfering with their entrepreneurial process,and can help them gain insight into the nature,characteristics and types of complex problems.Thirdly,the complexity of the new agricultural entrepreneur can be evaluated from six aspects: phase,repeatability,relevance,fuzziness,dynamic and multi-objective.Furthermore,the process of case analysis shows that the attribute of event intensity is closely related to the complexity of complex problems.Fourthly,in the action phase of complex problem-solving,new agricultural entrepreneurs contribute to the development of social capital by actively creating events,consolidating and expanding contacts and contacts with other actors in social networks,to achieve trust,norms,capital,talent,technology,policy,services and other recessive and explicit resources to promote the formation of their ability to solve complex problems.Through research we make contributions in both theory and practice.On a theoretical level.First,extract and summarize the essential characteristics and conceptual connotation of the social capital of new agricultural entrepreneurs.Secondly,the event system theory is applied to the study of new agricultural entrepreneurship process for the first time to test and demonstrate the dynamic influence of event intensity on the formation of complex problem-solving ability of new agricultural entrepreneurs.Thirdly,the concept,stage and dimension of complex problem-solving ability of new agricultural entrepreneurs were explored and refined,and the intervention research on complex problemsolving ability was advanced.On a practical level.First,by revealing the behavior characteristics and action logic of the new agricultural entrepreneurs,we can find out the law of their emergence and growth and the promotion of rural revitalization and common prosperity.Secondly,by analyzing the importance of social capital in the process of new-type agricultural entrepreneurship,the authors remind new-type agricultural entrepreneurs that they should pay attention to the apparent and potential resources in the social network when undertaking entrepreneurial activities,constantly optimize the social capital structure and create sustained competitive advantage.Thirdly,through expounding the positive effect of key events,the new agricultural entrepreneurs should pay more attention to the key events in the entrepreneurial process and reflect on how to make better use of events and create events.
