Research On Motivation And Performance Evaluation Of Asset-Light Operation Mode In Pharmaceutical Enterprises

With the deepening of economic globalization,the deepening of national pharmaceutical policy reform and the influx of foreign pharmaceutical companies into the domestic market,the domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing industry increasingly fierce competition.Some domestic pharmaceutical companies mainly sell low-end generic drugs,low innovation capacity,weak R & D capacity.In response,pharmaceutical companies need to seek new operating models to change this situation and enhance enterprise value.The asset light operation mode is a value oriented operation mode.Enterprises operating in this mode no longer attach importance to the investment of fixed assets,but instead invest more funds in high value-added links,thereby maximizing the use of limited funds and maximizing their value.Hengrui Pharmaceutical is one of the pharmaceutical companies that earlier adopted the asset light operation model.From its initial focus on selling generic drugs to gradually increasing investment in research and development innovation,Hengrui Pharmaceutical has produced a variety of innovative drugs,thereby occupying a place in the existing domestic innovative drug market,breaking the dead cycle of mainly selling generic drugs and fighting price wars.In this regard,based on the pharmaceutical industry’s research on the motivation and performance of the asset light operation mode,this article selects Hengrui Pharmaceutical as a case company to study the motivation for its adoption of the asset light operation mode and analyze its performance under the asset light operation mode,providing reference ideas for other pharmaceutical enterprises to seek transformation.In this paper,Hengrui Pharmaceutical as a case study of the pharmaceutical industry to explore the implementation of asset-light mode of operation and performance.Firstly,this paper summarizes the concept of light-asset,light-asset enterprise and light-asset operation mode as well as some related theories,in addition,the paper gives a brief introduction to the case company Hengrui Pharmaceutical and analyzes the characteristics of its asset-light mode of operation,finally,the paper focuses on the analysis of the motivation of the adoption of the asset-light operation mode,especially from the new perspective of the company’s development strategy,this paper begins with two aspects of financial performance evaluation and non-financial performance evaluation,and makes some additions to the analysis of innovation ability,and draws conclusions,puts forward suggestions,limitations of the research and prospects for the future.Through the analysis of the motivation and performance of Hengrui’s asset-light operation mode,it is found that the company adopts the asset-light operation mode mainly to train the core competitiveness,strengthen the marketing ability,reduce the risk and follow the development strategy.In the asset-light Operation Mode,the enterprise financial performance and non-financial performance are better,in the forefront of the industry.Therefore,the research on the asset-light operation mode of this enterprise can point out the development direction for many pharmaceutical enterprises,it is of practical significance to help our pharmaceutical enterprises to adopt asset-light operation mode under the circumstances of medical reform and drug reform.At the same time,on the theoretical level,this paper enriches the research on the motivation of the asset-light operation mode of pharmaceutical enterprises from the perspective of the company’s development strategy,to a certain extent,it is of theoretical significance to supplement the research on the performance of asset-light operation mode from the perspective of innovation ability.
