In the era of Internet plus,Internet enterprises that rely solely on traditional business models can no longer stand in the highly competitive market.Many Internet leading enterprises have begun to use new development concepts to transform their business models in resource integration,channel coordination,and strategic transformation.Therefore,new e-commerce models based on the Internet industry emerge one after another.However,the development of everything is a spiral process,and the success of the business model is not achieved overnight.For example,after more than ten years of strategic losses in the innovation of Amazon’s business model,it was the first time to achieve profits in 2003.JD,Meituan and other enterprises have also experienced such a process.The research on enterprise business model has gradually become the focus of academic and practical circles.The three squirrels,taking advantage of the development of the Internet,rose rapidly in the nut speculation industry.At the same time,as an agricultural e-commerce,they also promoted the upward circulation of agricultural products,providing assistance for farmers’ income increase and rural industry revitalization,and serving rural revitalization.However,with the gradual decline of traditional e-commerce dividend,a series of problems,such as increased full competition among enterprises,diversified consumer demand,and sudden epidemic,began to force e-commerce enterprises,such as Three Squirrels,to innovate their business models.The three squirrels cooperated with upstream and downstream partners to innovate business models such as supply chain collaboration,omni channel integration and resource integration,and seek high-quality development of the enterprise.This paper selects three squirrels as the research object,which are the prominent representatives of business model innovation in the nut speculation industry.First,it combs the relevant literature of the existing business model and the theoretical basis needed for research.Second,it introduces the industry background,enterprise profile and development history of the three squirrels,and summarizes five important innovation initiatives of the three squirrels led by the business model canvas,Finally,we selected the financial data of 8enterprises in the same industry from 2014 to 2021,and obtained the industry average by weighted average for horizontal and vertical comparative analysis.From the financial perspective,we analyzed and evaluated the effect of business model innovation in three aspects: capital market response,financial indicators and non-financial indicators,using event research,case analysis and comparative analysis.It is found that in the early stage of business model innovation,enterprises need a lot of funds for scale expansion and market influence expansion,which leads to problems such as increased liabilities,rising costs and declining profitability.From the capital market reaction,business growth,resource integration efficiency and non-financial performance,we can see that business model innovation has achieved results.To enhance core competitiveness,enterprises should deepen supply chain integration and cost management in the process of business model innovation;Improve asset utilization ratio and borrow moderately;Pay attention to the collaboration between online and offline channels to effectively expand the market;Stakeholders should pay attention to the long-term development ability and growth of enterprises;The government should introduce special policies to encourage and guide enterprise innovation and open up green financing channels. |
