Comprehensive land remediation seeks to maximize comprehensive benefits such as production, life, and ecological benefits,by a comprehensive means of "connotation, objectives, means, and be nefits",Overall, comprehensive land consolidation across the entire region is beneficial for optimizing the layout of rural land, improving production, living, and ecological conditions in rural areas, and optimizing the "three living" spaces in rural areas. As direct stakeholders in the comprehensive land remediation of the entire region, farmers actively participate in protecting their rights and interests, facilitating the implementation of the comprehensive land remediation of the entire region and improving the comprehensive land remediation plan. However, the individual demands of farmers for the "three living" space in rural areas are not entirely consistent with the optimization goal of the "three living" space achieved through comprehensive land remediation across the entire region. The conflicts and contradictions that exist among them affect farmers’ willingness to participate in comprehensive land remediation across the entire region. For a long time, the government led remediation model has neglected the participation of farmers, and there are differences between the effectiveness of remediation and the expectations of farmers. As a new national remediation policy, comprehensive land remediation should fully respect the wishes of farmers and play a crucial role in comprehensive land remediation.Based on this research background, this article studies the factors that affect farmers’ willingness to participate in comprehensive land remediation from the perspectives of farmers themselves and the comprehensive land remediation of the entire region.Taking Wangxiang Village in Bengbu C ity as the research object, this paper studies the influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to participate in the comprehensive land consolidation from three aspects, namely, farmers’ personal characteristics, cognitive characteristics, and the content related to the "three life" space renovation of the comprehensive land consolidation, using the Theory of planned behavior, farmers’ decision-making behavior theory, and public pa rticipation theory,in order to improve farmers’ enthusiasm for participation Provide policy recommendations to protect the rights and interests of farmers and promote the implementation of comprehensive land consolidation throughout the region. This article conducts a survey on the influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to participate in comprehensive land improvement through on-site distribution of survey questionnaires. The collected data is organized and empirically analyzed using SPSS25.0 using a binary logistic model. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Among the personal characteristics of farmers, their age and education level,as well as their annual household income, have a significant impact on their participation in comprehensive land consolidation. That is,the older the farmers, the lower their enthusiasm for participating in comprehensive land consolidation. The higher their education level and annual household income, the stronger their willingness to participate in comprehensive land consolidation. The gender and occupational type of farmers are not significant.Among the cognitive characteristics of farmers, the degree of their awareness of comprehensive land remediation and the necessity of comprehensive land remediation have a significant impact on their participation in comprehensive land remediation. That is,the deeper their awareness and necessity, the higher their enthusiasm for participating in comprehensive land remediation, and the less significant their cognitive pathways.(2)The relevant content of the "Three Lives" spatial renovation of comprehensive land renovation in the whole region: The renovation of production space, living space, and ecological space in the comprehensive land renovation in the whole region has a significant impact on farmers’ willingness to participate in the renovation, including the degree of achievement of farmland protection goals, integrated development of rural industries, renovation of residential styles, improvement of rural landscapes, realization of production and living pollution control demands, and realization of water body governance demands The degree of realization of natural ecological governance demands has a positive impact on the participation of farmers in the comprehensive land remediation of the entire region. The adjustment of homestead land, the realization of public infrastructure demands, and the participation of farmers in comprehensive land conso lidation have a negative impact. The impact of achieving scale opera tion, improving agricultural facilities, and compensating for the withdrawal of homesteads on farmers’ participation in comprehensive land consolidation is not significant.Based on the above research and analysis, this article proposes policy recommendations from four aspects.Firstly, strengthen publicity to improve farmers’ awareness of the rectification, expand publicity paths through a combination of online and offline methods, and enhance farmers’ participation enthusiasm. The second is to improve production conditions, meet the production and development needs of farmers, and provide more employment opportunities for farmers by improving farmland protection policies, ensuring their production and promoting industr ial integration and development. The third is to optimize living space, meet the quality of life needs of farmers, and improve the quality of life by improving the social security system and public infrastructure foundation. The fourth is to enhance ecological space, meet the ecological improvement needs of farmers, and expand the participation channels of farmers by implementing diversified ecological protection measures. |
