In recent years,China’s manufacturing industry has developed rapidly,with the scale ranking first in the world for 13 years.However,despite its large scale,there are a series of problems such as weak core competitiveness,but the problem of large but not strong has always existed.Cheap labor and resources are still the main production factors for the development of China’s manufacturing industry.At the same time,in the international market,Chinese manufacturing enterprises lack strong independent innovation capabilities,have weak core competitiveness,and their added value is still in a relatively low stage.At the same time,the independent innovation capabilities of manufacturing companies are relatively weak,and they do not have strong core competitiveness.The added value of the product is still in a lower stage.With the continuous development of the digital economy,the government has vigorously advocated the construction of digital infrastructure such as 5G base stations,big data centers,and block chain services,providing basic conditions for manufacturing enterprises to provide intelligent production and intelligent management,which is conducive to manufacturing enterprises,which is conducive to manufacturing enterprises Improve production efficiency and product quality and increase product added value.This has brought new opportunities for the upgrading of my country’s manufacturing structure.Therefore,with the continuous construction and improvement of digital infrastructure,it is necessary to conduct research on the specific impact of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manufacturing industry structure.Only by in-depth understanding of the inherent mechanism of the upgrading of digital infrastructure driven manufacturing structure can it be pointed out for the current manufacturing structure upgrade.This article is based on the upgrading of digital infrastructure to drive the structure of the manufacturing industry.The first step is to analyze the principle of the impact of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manufacturing structure,as well as the differences in the impact of digital infrastructure on manufacturing industries of different types and regions.At the same time,from the perspective of technological innovation,the specific path of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of the manufacturing structure was analyzed.On this basis,through a series of empirical tests,this article believes that digital infrastructure has a promoting effect on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry structure.Finally,through scientific theoretical and empirical analysis,suggestions are proposed to promote the development of the manufacturing industry.The main research content and opinions of this article are as follows:Firstly,emphasis was placed on analyzing the impact mechanism of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manufacturing industry structure.Analyzed the overall impact mechanism of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manu facturing industry structure.It is believed that digital infrastructure can promote the structural upgrading of manufacturing industry by promoting new business forms,specialized agglomeration effect and consumption upgrading effect.Secondly,the heterogeneity analysis of the impact of digital infrastructure on differ ent types of manufacturing industry shows that the promotion effect of digital infrastructure on the structural upgrading of high-end technology manufacturing industry is greater than that of middle-end manufacturing industry,and the promotion effect of digital infrastructure on the structural upgrading of low-end technology manufacturing industry is the least.Also on digital infrastructure for the influence of different regional manufacturing industry are analyzed in heterogeneity,think digital infrastructure for manufacturing industry structure upgrading in eastern positive influence is greater than the Midwest manufacturing struct ure upgrade in the end,the influence of the article also from the perspective of technology innovation,analyzed how digital infrastructure affect the upgrading of manufacturing structure.After completing the empirical analysis,Propose four hypotheses: Digital infrastructure has a promoting effect on the upgrading of manufacturing industry structure;Compared to the mid-range manufacturing industry,digital infrastructure plays a greater role in promoting the upgrading of the high-end manufacturing industry structure,and the impact on low-end technology manufacturing industry is the least.Compared to the central and wester n regions,digital infrastructure has a greater promoting effect on the upgrading of the manufacturing structure in the eastern region.Technological progress plays a mediating role in the impact of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manufacturing structure.After theoretical analysis,panel data is established to verify that digital infrastructure has a promoting effect on the upgrading of manufacturing industry structure.In this paper,29 provinces except Tibet and Qinghai from 2009 to 2019 were selected as samples,and use the three dimensions of networked facilities,information facilities and intelligent facilities to describe the level of digital infrastructure,and the level of digital infrastructure construction in each province is measured using the entropy method.Firstly,a fixed effects model was used for empirical analysis,and the results showed that digital infrastructure has a promoting effect on the upgrading of manufacturing industry structure,further divisions heterogeneity,regression analysis,the empirical conclusion digital infrastructure for the promotion of high-end manufacturing industry structure upgrading effect than influence on technology manufacturing structure upgrade in the end,the influence of the technology for low-end manufacturing industry structure upgrading is minimal.Based on the regional heterogeneity regression analysis,compared to the central and western regions,digital infrastructure plays a greater role in promoting the upgrading of manufacturing structure in the eastern region.Finally,using technological innovation as an intermediary variable for testing,the empirical results indicate that digital infrastructure promotes the upgrading of manufacturing structure through technological innovation.After a series of research and analysis,this article proposes relevant suggestions: Continuing developing digital infrastructure;Different manufacturing industries need to formulate different development strategies;manufacturing in the central and western regions;Industry should pay attention to the introduction of digital platforms such as the eastern manufacturing industry to promote the reasonable allocation of digital resources;to cultivate digital innovative talents,continue to implement the digital patent protection system;to reduce the cost of manufacturing enterprises’ transaction costs.There may be the following innovation in this article:(1)The innovation of the evaluation index system of digital infrastructure construction.According to the characteristics of the construction of digital infrastructure.The indicators of digital infrastructure include three dimensions: networked facilities,information facilities,and intelligent facilities(2)Innovated the impact mechanism of digital infrastructure on manufacturing industry upgrading.Taking technological innovation as an intermediary variable,this paper first analyzes the specific role of technological innovation in the impact of digital infrastructure on the upgrading of manufacturing structure using theory,and then uses empirical research to analyze how digital infrastructure affects the upgrading of manufacturing structure through the mesomeric effect model.
