In the new era of retail,the online dividend is fading as the growth of offline brick-and-mortar shops is being curbed.Both online and brick-and-mortar retailers have realised the need to transform in order to maintain the long-term sustainability of their companies.The biggest key to transformation is how to create a seamless connection between the company’s online and brick-and-mortar businesses,using the latest technologies such as big data to provide targeted products and services to customers and improve their shopping experience in order to achieve better operational results and continuously improve performance.The inevitability of transformation is obvious,but how to integrate it into the overall effort is a problem faced by most retail companies.In China,Yonghui Supermarket,a leader in the retail industry,has played a pioneering role in the transformation of new retail.This paper takes the case of new retail transformation of Yonghui Supermarket as the research object,and evaluates the effect of the implementation of new retail transformation of Yonghui supermarket through literature research,case study and comparative analysis methods.Firstly,the concept and connotation of new retail are sorted out,and the relevant theoretical basis such as enterprise performance evaluation method is sorted out.Secondly,it analyzes the internal and external industry situation of Yonghui supermarket and the motivation of its transformation,which lays the foundation for the case analysis after the paper.Thirdly,it expounds the general situation of Yonghui Supermarket and the specific strategy of the transformation of new retail stage.Finally,the financial index analysis method,non-financial index method and economic added value evaluation method are selected to measure the effect of the new retail transformation of Yonghui supermarket.The research conclusion is drawn: Yonghui supermarket has improved its profitability during the transformation of new retail,but at the same time it is faced with such problems as large financing demand,high financial risk,unstable operation capacity and insufficient net interest rate.Through a series of analysis of cases,this paper intends to put forward several suggestions for other companies facing transformation: first,enterprises should develop appropriate investment and financing strategies for transformation;The second is to scientifically plan the transformation strategy,adjust the pace of expansion and control the cost;Third,optimize the inventory management system and strengthen the inventory management ability.
