| The development of digital rural has brought great opportunities for rural residents to increase their income, but the current digital rural construction is still facing the following problems: the development of digital rural areas is not balanced, regional differences; The support of rural digitization is relatively small, the digital gap between urban and rural areas is large, the digital literacy of farmers is low,and the application of digitization is insufficient. The existence of these problems will aggravate the digital inequality, leading to the income gap of rural residents become more serious. As a result, digital village has become a research hotspot, which has been deeply considered and discussed in the academic circle.Based on this, this paper attempts to innovate from the above three aspects,to explore the impact of digital rural income distribution of rural residents. This paper puts forward the solution: first, through extensive literature review,to understand the current academic community for the Digital Village and rural residents income distribution measures, the impact of digital village on rural residents income distribution research, etc.,on this basis, the digital rural development level measurement system is constructed from four dimensions: rural digital input level, rural digital industry development, rural digital information base and rural digital service level. In addition, this paper examines the income distribution of rural residents from two dimensions: one is from the dimension of income growth of rural residents, and the other is from the dimension of income gap of rural residents, the income gap is analyzed from provincial level and urban-rural level. On the basis of the related concepts, the theoretical foundation is established: Transaction Cost Theory, human capital theory, regional difference theory, digital divide theory,urban-rural dual economic structure theory, entrepreneurship theory.Secondly, through the qualitative and quantitative methods to explore the current digital rural and rural residents of our income changes and current characteristics, this paper uses the panel data of 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions(except Tibet)in our country from 2011 to 2020 to measure the development level of digital countryside by entropy weight method. Then, the paper establishes an econometric model to explore the impact of digital village on rural residents’ income growth, and studies the heterogeneity of different areas and dimensions of digital village. Then, based on the perspective of inter-provincial comparison and urban-rural difference, this paper calculates the income gap of rural residents, and establishes an econometric model to explore the impact of digital countryside on the income gap of rural residents, the impulse response graph is used to simulate the situation map of the relationship between digital rural and rural residents’ income gap. Finally, according to the results of the empirical model to draw the corresponding conclusions and policy recommendations. The conclusions are as follows:(1)digital village can significantly promote the growth of rural residents’ income,in 4 dimensions, the level of rural digital services and the development of rural digital industry have a significant role in promoting the growth of rural residents’ income. The analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that the promotion effect of the eastern region is greater than that of the central region, but it is not significant in the western region.(2)digital villages will significantly expand the inter-provincial income gap between rural residents. The results of regional heterogeneity analysis show that Digital Village will enlarge the income gap of rural residents in the eastern region, but significantly reduce the income gap of rural residents in the Western Region, and not in the central region. The analysis of fractal dimension heterogeneity shows that the level of rural digital input is not obvious to narrow the income gap of rural residents, and the level of rural digital service and the development of rural digital industry will enlarge the income gap of rural residents, the rural digital information base will significantly narrow the income gap of rural residents.(3)the simulation results show that the impact of digital village on the income gap of rural residents has a long-term positive impact, but the impact is weak.In addition, the contribution rate of digital villages to the income gap of rural residents is very low,so there is no need to worry too much about its impact on the widening inter-provincial income gap of rural residents.(4)at the initial stage of digital rural development, the income gap between urban and rural residents will narrow, but with its further development, the income gap between urban and rural residents will widen, and this U-shaped trend is affected by the entrepreneurial level of rural residents.(5)the simulation results show that the digital rural has a negative impact on the income gap between urban and rural residents, and the impact is U-shaped,but the impact trend is not stable, therefore,we should be alert to the possible future digital rural income gap between urban and rural residents may worsen the problem.Based on the above main conclusions, this study puts forward the following policy recommendations:(1)increase digital capital investment, optimize resource allocation.(2)promoting rural digital industry to increase farmers’ income.(3)uphold the concept of inclusive development and narrow the digital divide.(4)improving information infrastructure to bridge the access gap.(5)improving farmers’ digital skills to bridge the use gap. |
