The electrical industry,as a crucial sector in traditional manufacturing,has attracted numerous private enterprises in recent years due to its low entry barriers and product diversity,resulting in increasingly fierce competition.Under this backdrop,electrical enterprises need to take measures to enhance their competitiveness,such as improving production line efficiency,increasing capacity,and reducing costs.In this regard,employing lean manufacturing principles for production line optimization is of significant importance.This study focuses on the optimization of high-voltage electrical cabinet production lines in China’s private electrical manufacturing industry,using NY Company as the research subject.Firstly,operation time measurement is conducted for the high-voltage electrical cabinet production line,followed by an analysis of the production balance status and the development of a current state value stream map.The analysis reveals issues such as excessive non-valueadded time,low production balance rate,and insufficient capacity.To address these issues,the study adopts traditional lean production tools,introduces Kanban management,shortens raw material supply cycles,reduces work-in-progress inventory backlog,and analyzes bottleneck processes to decrease operation time and enhance production balance rate.Building upon traditional lean production improvements,a genetic algorithm is designed using Python software to redistribute internal processes within the work section,thus achieving a balanced work section operation time and an increased production balance rate.Finally,FlexSim simulation software is utilized to model the production line before and after improvements,comparing simulation results to validate the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.Through lean production improvements,the non-value-added time of NY Company’s high-voltage electrical cabinet production line is reduced from 9.30 days to 5.15 days,bottleneck process time decreases from 9.75 minutes to 7.22 minutes,the work section production balance rate increases from 86.62% to 97.50%,and the average daily capacity rises from 17 units to 20 units.The optimization scheme effectively addresses the issues faced by the high-voltage electrical cabinet production line,enhancing production efficiency and increasing capacity.
