Internet companies have emerged against the backdrop of rapid technological advancements and high economic prosperity,and Tencent,as one of the leading companies,stands out among numerous internet companies.The market environment is constantly changing,and market competition is becoming increasingly fierce.Tencent is facing an increasing number of uncertain factors,and the types of risks it may face are gradually diversified.Risk management and control are of great significance for enterprises.Strategic risk is an important part of the numerous risks faced by enterprises that cannot be ignored,and it should be given more attention and attention by managers.The Balanced Scorecard(BSC),also known as the Balanced Scorecard,has been widely used in enterprise performance management.However,some scholars have demonstrated the feasibility and superiority of applying BSC to enterprise strategic risk management in their research.Based on the above background,this article takes Tencent,a leading internet company,as a case study and uses the Balanced Scorecard as a strategic management tool to conduct strategic risk management research on it.In the literature review section,drawing on previous research results as the starting point of the article,and based on the balanced scorecard and strategic risk management theory that runs through the entire text,the advantages of introducing the balanced scorecard into strategic risk management work are analyzed.This article follows the steps of traditional risk management to carry out strategic risk management for Tencent Company.The work is carried out in three steps:strategic risk identification,strategic risk assessment,and strategic risk response.Qualitative and quantitative research methods such as Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation are used.In Tencent’s strategic risk assessment process,the likelihood of strategic risk occurrence and the degree of negative impact are evaluated from two perspectives.The weights are first assigned at the four dimensions of the balanced scorecard,and the impact capacity of each strategic risk is measured by weight.Then,the probability of strategic risk occurrence is scored using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Furthermore,establish a strategic risk management system suitable for Tencent and propose corresponding safeguard measures for the effective implementation of the system.This article concludes through research that introducing the Balanced Scorecard as a strategic tool in identifying,evaluating,and responding to strategic risks of Tencent has special advantages compared to traditional strategic risk management methods.This article applies the innovative idea of strategic risk management based on the balanced scorecard to Tencent Company,which can not only provide assistance for Tencent’s strategic risk management and improve its level of strategic risk management,but also provide reference for other enterprises’ strategic risk management.Traditional strategic risk management requires precise classification of various risk factors,which is complex and difficult to understand in practical work.This article introduces the basic concept of balanced scorecard into Tencent’s strategic risk management work,which to some extent enriches the theory of strategic risk management and provides new ideas for Tencent and similar internet enterprises’ strategic risk management work.
