Study On The Influencing Factors Of Apple Growers’ Willingness To Reduce Chemical Fertilizer Application In Qixia City

With the continuous increase of fertilizer input,chemical fertilizer plays an important role in promoting apple growth at all stages,but excessive application of chemical fertilizer not only leads to the decline of apple quality,but also leads to non-point source pollution problems such as water eutrophication.In order to popularize scientific fertilization and ensure the safety of agricultural products,this paper takes apple farmers in Qixia City as the main fertilizer to carry out research on their willingness to reduce chemical fertilizer,and analyzes the influencing factors of their willingness to reduce chemical fertilizer.Based on the analysis results,this paper puts forward policy suggestions to make apple growers in Qixia City apply fertilizer scientifically and standardize the fertilization behavior of apple farmers,which is very important for the sustainable development of apple planting in Qixia City,the control of agricultural non-point source pollution and the realization of rural revitalization.By combing through domestic and foreign literature,this paper systematically sorts out the research theories of farmer behavior theory,externality theory and sustainable development theory.Firstly,the relevant data of Qixia Statistical Yearbook were used to analyze the apple planting situation and the development status of planting industry in Qixia City.Second,carry out research design: design questionnaires,build binary regression models,select variables and propose research hypotheses.Furthermore,descriptive statistics were made on the characteristics of individuals,households,fertilizer application behavior,cognition,and external environment of apple growers in Qixia City.Finally,the influencing factors of apple farmers’ willingness to reduce chemical fertilizer application in Qixia City were empirically analyzed.Empirical analysis showed that two factors,namely apple planting area and apple planting income in total household income,had a negative impact on the reduction of chemical fertilizer application by apple farmers in Qixia City.Seven factors,including education level,number of agricultural technical training sessions per year,the degree of environmental impact of excessive application of chemical fertilizers,the degree of understanding of agricultural technologies such as soil testing formula fertilization or water and fertilizer integration,the degree of understanding of fertilizer reduction policies,the attitude towards fertilizer reduction recommendations of agricultural technology extension personnel,and the attitude of government subsidies to fertilizer reduction recommendations.Through the descriptive statistical analysis results and empirical results,practical policy suggestions for apple farmers in Qixia City to reduce chemical fertilizer application are put forward,mainly including increasing rural education investment,strengthening the publicity of policies and regulations related to fertilizer use,reforming the rural agricultural technology extension system,promoting soil testing formula fertilization,integrated scientific fertilization technology of water and fertilizer,and government reward and punishment mechanism.
