Research On The Impact Of Intellectual Property Protection Of Importing Countries On The Quality Of China’s Manufacturing Export Products

With the continuous improvement of the level of technological innovation in the world,intellectual property protection has attracted the attention of all countries in the world,and has also become an important means for Western countries to suppress the development of emerging economies in high-tech.Especially since the Sino-US trade friction in 2018,the western countries represented by the United States have used intellectual property protection as a policy tool to impose trade barriers,hindering the entry of Chinese products into the country ’s market,with a view to curbing the development of China ’s technology to a certain extent.In order to promote China ’s opening up to the outside world at a higher level and avoid sanctions by Western countries on intellectual property protection,it is particularly important to study the impact of intellectual property protection on China ’s foreign trade development.At present,the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products is at the lower end of the value chain,and there is still a certain gap between the quality of export products in developed countries,which hinders China from further opening up to the outside world.Improving the quality of manufacturing export products is a key measure to promote the high-quality development of China ’s manufacturing industry and make it stable in the international market.Based on this,this paper studies the influence mechanism and effect of intellectual property protection in importing countries on the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products from the theoretical and empirical perspectives.Under the background of frequent overseas intellectual property disputes,it provides countermeasures and suggestions for how to achieve high-quality development of China ’s manufacturing export products.This paper summarizes the existing literature,studies the concept of intellectual property protection and export product quality and related economic theories.After measuring the indicators of intellectual property protection and manufacturing export product quality,it discusses the current situation of intellectual property protection in importing countries and the basic situation of China ’s manufacturing export product quality from different levels.After that,this paper attempts to construct a simple market equilibrium model to analyze the mechanism of intellectual property protection in importing countries affecting the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products from the theoretical level.On this basis,based on the relevant data of China ’s export to other 60 countries in the world from 2005 to 2018,an appropriate individual fixed effect model is established to study the impact of intellectual property protection in importing countries on the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products from an empirical perspective,and based on relevant conclusions,relevant suggestions are made on how to improve the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows : First,the overall level analysis found that the protection of intellectual property rights in importing countries has a significant negative impact on the quality of manufacturing export products;secondly,the protection of intellectual property rights in importing countries can have a negative impact on the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products by affecting trade costs and technological innovation efficiency;thirdly,according to the level of developed countries,the level of intellectual property protection in developed countries has a negative impact on the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products,while developing countries have no significant impact;fourth,according to the sub-sectors of manufacturing industry,the intellectual property protection of importing countries has a significant negative impact on the quality of export products of China ’s textile industry,resource processing industry and mechanical and electronic manufacturing industry.Based on the above conclusions,in order to cope with the complex changes in the international intellectual property protection situation and further improve the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products,we must first improve our ability to deal with overseas intellectual property disputes and reduce the negative impact of intellectual property protection in developed countries on the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products.Secondly,we will continue to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry,so that the quality of China ’s manufacturing export products will reach a new level,and promote China ’s manufacturing industry to move towards the middle and high end of the global value chain;finally,the sub-sectors of China ’s manufacturing industry should not only develop independently and actively,but also unite and cooperate to develop together.
