With the rapid development of financial technology,people generally enjoy the convenience of new financial payment methods,but as the aging situation in our country becomes more severe,the "digital gap" in the payment field becomes more prominent.At present,most people can enjoy high-quality online services through a small mobile phone,such as online registration and diagnosis,online shopping,online payment,etc.,but for a considerable number of elderly people,what is in front of them is not convenience,but numerous problems.Driven by the current financial inclusion reform,how to realize "age-appropriate" payment field of commercial banks,alleviate the payment dilemma encountered by the elderly group,so that they can also enjoy the same convenient payment services,has become an urgent problem that every bank must overcome at present.Firstly,this paper reviews relevant research results at home and abroad,and finds that the research perspectives are relatively concentrated in the fields of news communication,social livelihood,etc.,while small-caliber research focusing on payment is relatively scarce.Starting with relevant basic theories,the author summarizes the current situation of the intergenerational digital divide,analyzes its negative impact,obtains corresponding data from the public reports of relevant institutions and interviews,and combines with field research to further explore the current situation of the intergenerational digital divide in the payment field and the root causes that hinder the elderly from using smart payment.Taking Bank A as an example to bridge the digital divide in the field of payment,combined with its research results on how to provide convenient payment services for the elderly,this paper further analyzes the pain points of commercial banks in bridging the digital divide in the field of payment,and provides an effective path for commercial banks to bridge the digital divide in the field of payment.Given that there are not many researches on bridging the digital divide in the payment field by commercial banks,and the "age-appropriate" smart payment is still in the stage of exploration and promotion,there is not much experience to learn from,nor a large amount of data to support empirical analysis.It is hoped that the analysis and research in this paper can provide effective reference for commercial banks.
