Research On The Impact Of China’s Agricultural Industry Restructuring On The Efficiency Of Urban-rural Integration Development

In the new era,China is entering an important stage of integrating high-quality urban-rural development and shaping new urban-rural economic relations.The essential aspect of boosting the high-quality integration of urban and rural development relates to the all-round impact of the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure on urban and rural development.The adjustment of China’s agricultural industry structure will not only have a significant impact on the growth of the agricultural economy but will also be relevant to rural development and the modelling of a new type of relationships between urban and rural areas.To fundamentally address the “agricultural,rural and peasant issues” and the dual structure of urban and rural areas,we must adopt new initiatives and strategies,and set up new ideas,break through the customary notion of agricultural and break new ground in the industrial restructuring of agriculture,oriented towards the integration of urban and rural areas with high quality development.This study focuses on the vital topic of "how to sustain the high-quality development of urban-rural integration through agricultural industrial restructuring" from the standpoint of enhancing the effectiveness of urban-rural integration and upgrading the rural industrial structures.The connotation of China’s agricultural industrial restructuring has been extended in four dimensions: advanced,rationalization,ecology and high technology,and a measurement analysis has been conducted on this basis,finding that China’s provincial agricultural industrial restructuring varies significantly in space.Applying the EBM super-efficiency model and combining it with the GML index method to measure and decompose the efficiency of urban-rural integration development,this shows that the efficiency of urban-rural integration development in each province has been steadily improving in recent years,which may be associated with the better interaction between economic scale and technological progress in the urban-rural industrial restructuring.The spatial Durbin model(SDM)was then used to examine the effects of agricultural industry restructuring on the efficiency of urban-rural integration development in the framework of spatial linkages.At last,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Advanced adjustment of agricultural industry structure has increased efficiency of urban-rural integration development in direct effect,spatial spillover effect and cumulative effect,and is a pivotal factor for the improvement of efficiency of urban-rural integration development,and the high-level adjustment of agricultural industry structure should be given full play to its positive effect.(2)The rationalization of agricultural industry structure has significantly accelerated the efficiency of urban-rural integration development in local and surrounding areas,among which the economy of scale effect is the primary motivating factor,and the output system of agricultural industry structure should be optimized in accordance with local conditions.(3)There is an "urban-rural dual structure" in the high-tech adjustment of agricultural industrial structure,and the accumulation of high-quality agricultural human capital has not kept pace with the demand for agricultural technology innovation,which inhibits the efficiency of urban-rural integration development.Therefore,it is needed to find an effective equilibrium between expanding the scale of the agricultural economy and promoting agricultural technology innovation,so as to realize the matching of agricultural science and technology innovation with rural human capital.(4)The present ecological adjustment of agricultural industry structure has significantly accelerated the efficiency of local urban-rural integration development,and its spatial spillover effect is not significant for the time being.The ecological adjustment of agricultural industry structure should be pursued continuously.The marginal contribution of this paper is that it explores and tries to explore the influence of agricultural industrial restructuring on the efficiency of urban-rural integration development within the framework of spatial linkage,which is an innovation in the research method in the related research field;secondly,this paper deepens the connotation of agricultural industrial restructuring from the new perspective of opening up the channels of urban-rural interaction and enhancing the value of rural subjects;this paper also applies the data envelope model to the field of urban-rural integration development and deeply analyzes the evolution of changes in the efficiency of urban-rural integration development;finally,it puts forward the unique ideas and insights of this paper on agricultural industrial restructuring based on the improvement of urban-rural integration development efficiency.
