Rural tourism is rooted in the village’s own resources, which can fully tap the value of rural resources, expand agricultural functions, and link the overall development of the three industries. However,in the development process of most villages, there are real problems of shortage of resources, insufficient utilization and unreasonableness. Therefore, this paper aims at how operators can improve the utilization rate of existing resources in the villages and improve their sense of gain,so as to realize the sustainable development of rural tourism.Based on the theory of resource bricolage,a research system was constructed including three variables: resource bricolage, sense of gain, and willingness to continue to participate.Using structural equation model,Bootstrap mediation effect test, regression analysis and other methods, using SPSS26.0 and SPSS26.0 and AMOS26.0 software quantitatively analyzes the survey data of 271 rural tourism operators in Kangding City,Ganzi Prefecture,Sichuan Province. From the results of empirical test analysis,it can be concluded that resource bricolage has a significant positive impact on the willingness of rural tourism operators to continue to participate;the sense of gain plays a mediating role in the impact of resource bricolage on operators’ willingness to continue to participate. This study provides a new perspective on how to realize the sustainable development of rural tourism under the condition of lack of resources, promotes the efficient use and transformation of existing resources by rural tourism operators, expands emerging niche markets, and breaks through institutional constraints. In order to promote the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and help the sustainable development of rural tourism.
