Research On Optimization Of Escalator Manufacturing Quality Management Of A Company

Elevator products are mainly divided into three categories: vertical elevator,escalator and moving sidewalk.In the past 20 years,with the rapid development of China’s economy,the domestic elevator industry has experienced a golden development period for many years.In recent years,with the introduction of a series of policies and planning layout to promote the development of escalator industry in China,domestic infrastructure projects such as high-speed rail and airports have developed rapidly.Major cities have begun to build subways,and also with the rise of major comprehensive shopping centers in residential areas.In the future,the market demand for escalators and moving walks will continue to grow.This growing market is bound to cause escalator and sidewalk manufacturers to compete.At the same time,escalators,as special equipment,carry the mission of being responsible for passenger safety,along with the rapid increase of cost of raw material and logistics of escalators caused by the current global COVID-19,how escalator manufacturing enterprises can win customers’ favor and occupy market advantages from the fierce competition,the quality which treated as the core competitiveness of enterprises has become the focus of attention by escalator manufacturing enterprises.This article takes escalator factory of A company as the research object.Based on current escalator manufacturing quality management situation,through interviews and analysis of the quality data in the manufacturing process,sorted out the problems and causes in current escalator manufacturing quality management process.According to total quality management theory and lean principle,set up several quality control process including new product development and product change control process for standard product,critical to quality control process for both standard product and non-standard product,manufacturing quality gate and rapid response process for handling the problems in manufacturing process,set up the long-term improvement promotion team for problem improvement in manufacturing site,set up an effective training and employee incentive mechanism to improve the quality awareness of employees.using PFMEA tools and visual working instruction and other process improvement methods to ensure that the problems on the manufacturing site can be avoided,identified and fixed in advance.At the same time,an effective review mechanism was set up,including quality audit,quality performance review and customer quality feedback review to ensure the improvement process can be effectively implemented.From escalator design to the end of escalator assembly,this article has formed a set of effective escalator manufacturing quality management system with the goal of seeking the lowest quality cost and the least quality defects in the manufacturing process,which helps the escalator factory of A company rapidly improved the manufacturing quality management level.It is hoped that this article can provided as reference for other escalator manufacturers in terms of quality improvement.
