| With mechanical Hard Disk Driver(HDD) demand show decreasing after it reach peak in2010,and Solid State Disk(SSD) is growing up recently that occupy HDD storage market share step by step, which is serious beat to traditional HDD industry. So how to improve management, cut down the cost, improve the product quality, shorten the lead time of new product and better to satisfy Customer, which is critical to for the HDD enterprise to survive, keep competition and increase benefit. To satisfy the new situation of fast change, high precision, high quality of customer requirement, Most HDD company take quality management as its core strategy, and get rid of traditional self-quality management concept, take enterprise and suppliers as whole process to do quality control and management.Current internal and external quality management research result mainly focus on enterprise self-quality control and quality assurance, stock management, supplier rating and selection etc, this paper raise to implement ship to stock (STS) system from the view of incoming quality improvement, eliminate non-value inspection. Pinpoint to S Corporation STS implementation bottle neck of Suspension quality(CTQ) with high precision and mean control but correlation offset between suspensions supplier and S corporation have big fluctuation, which easily cause suspension CTQ parameters mean shift issue in S corporation incoming inspection, we apply6sigma DMAIC improvement flow to find out the critial affected factors for CTQ measurement between S corporation and suppliers, we stabilize the correlation through fixing the critical affected factors and set up Master control procedure, so that we can replace the non-value incoming inspection for CTQ parameters incoming inspection by suspensions supplier outgoing inspection after fix the correlation issue between S Corporation and suspension suppliers, and implement ship to stock system in S corporation, which would upgrade IQC from inspector to quality auditor, reducing cost, increasing product quality, prevent cost and market share lost because of failure analysis, rework and return to Vendor(RTV) that induce cost increasing and delay the lead time of new product. |
