Study On Quality Management For T Company Based On Six Sigma Methodologies

Six sigma which is based on the statistical theories was getting popular in multiple industries after GE obtained great success by applying it in 20 century.It is based on data,focuses on customer’s demands,and deeply relies on the corporation in the cross-functional team.It also provides a set of effective,systematic,scientific methodologies and tools which have been proved in the past years,it plays great roles in the modern company managements.It is able to significantly improve the producing efficiency,product or service quality and reduce the cost of the company.But nowadays,in many companies it is not fully applied because of the difference of cultures,lacks of talents and the investments.Therefore,it helps on widely applying six sigma in the organization by studying of the implementation of it.T company’s main business is the power tools design and manufacturing,the developing and manufacturing center are all setting in Dong Guan City,Guang Dong province,the sales of T company’s products are mainly focusing in north America,Europe and Australia.T company became the greatest consumer power tools & accessories manufacturer in the world after more than 30 years developing.In 2020,the home decoration market has grown rapidly because of the economic environment change.Therefore,T company has a huge opportunity to grow again.In Parallel,the service and products qualities are facing tremendous challenges,so a set of methodologies and tools is very useful and necessary for T company to improve the products and services qualities,and six sigma provides what T company demands.This study is based on the improvement of the low voltage issue of cells in power packs which is the core competition of T company by using the DMAIC system.It includes the six sigma project plans,mobilization in the organization,using the SIPOC and Pareto model to define the scope of the project and compile the project profile form,judging the measurement and manufacturing system through MSA and Cpk calculation,digging out the root cause by using 5 Why model and making the relevant proposals,applying and monitoring the improvements in the final.Meanwhile this study also reviewed the current status of quality management of T company and made the proposals,this will create the fundamental of sustainable application of six sigma in T company.
