Research On The Coupled And Coordinated Development Of Economy And Ecological Environment In Suzhou

If ecology flourishes,civilization will flourish;if ecology fails,civilization will fail.The 18 th Party Congress proposed to vigorously promote the construction of ecological civilization and incorporated it into the five-in-one overall layout of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to firmly establish the development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains",promote the coordinated development of ecological civilization and economic and social development,promote the transformation of China’s development model,and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,comprehensively promote green development,and ultimately achieve the goal of harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature,and build a beautiful China.Suzhou’s total economic output ranks high in Jiangsu province,but there are still factors that are incompatible and mismatched with the development of the ecological environment in the process of high-quality economic development.In recent years,to resolve the contradiction between economic development and ecological environmental protection in Suzhou,the Suzhou government has accumulated certain experience and lessons in the management of economic development and ecological environment,but there are still some structural and fundamental problems that have not yet been solved.Therefore,it is important to study the status of the coordinated development of the economy and environment in Suzhou to promote the construction of ecological civilization and the sustainable and coordinated development of the economy and ecological environment in Suzhou.The article takes the economic development and ecological environment of Suzhou as the research object,and comprehensively applies the relevant theories and methods such as system,coupling and coordination,sustainable development,and ecological economics,based on sorting out the current situation of economic development and ecological environment governance in Suzhou,constructs the coupling evaluation index system of economic development and ecological environment in Suzhou,the degree of coupling and coordination between economic development subsystem and ecological environment subsystem in Suzhou A study was conducted to propose countermeasures and suggestions to promote the coordinated development of economic development and ecological environmental protection in Suzhou.The main results are as follows:(1)Based on the analytical framework of economic development and ecological environment,a coupled evaluation system of economic development and ecological environment in Suzhou containing 20 evaluation indicators was constructed by applying the hierarchical analysis method and the difference coefficient method.(2)The scores of the two subsystems of economic development and ecological environment in Suzhou and their coupling and coordination degrees were measured.The results show that the overall effectiveness of the coordinated development of Suzhou’s economy and the ecological environment continues to improve.The development of both the economic development subsystem and the ecological environment subsystem is in a state of slow improvement.The coupled coordination between the two has gone through neardisorderly decline,barely coordinated development,primarily coordinated development,intermediate coordinated development,and finally towards well-coordinated development.However,as the overall coupling and coordination between the two cannot be directly judged whether Suzhou’s economy and ecological environment have reached the level of coordinated development,the article further measured the coupling and coordination between the various index elements,and the results showed that they were all at a low level,still belonging to the transition stage from barely coordinated development to primary coordinated development.(3)The article proposes countermeasures to promote the harmonious development of Suzhou’s economy and the ecological environment from four aspects: policy,regulation,technology,and ideology.
