With the development of economic globalization,the supply network of global manufacturing enterprises has been extended to varying degrees in time and space and has increasingly shown characteristics such as lean,complex and globalized.The pursuit of efficiency and benefit is the focus of supply chain management.However,since 2018,the Sino-US trade war has kicked off,and COVID-19 broke out globally in early 2020,both changes have exacerbated the fragility of global industrial chain and supply chain.Such changes in the external environment have accelerated the exposure of potential risks that the supply chain puts efficiency above flexibility and resilience.This thesis studies the supply chain flexibility improvement plan under the impact of COVID-19.Taking company A as the case study object,it studies how to improve the flexibility and adaptability of the supply chain through multi-source procurement in an environment of uncertain supply and demand.This thesis firstly analyzes through literature search the advantages and disadvantages of single-source,dual-source and multi-source procurement strategies,the dual theory of supply chain flexibility and benefits,and how to balance supply chain benefits and safety under the impact of COVID-19.Secondly,this thesis introduces company A’s supply chain and current flexibility status,then analyzes the root cause of insufficient flexibility of company A’s supply chain.Afterwards,through interviews with company A’s supply chain experts and check internal information,after collecting and counting relevant data,the model is constructed using the analytic hierarchy process,using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,it is found that multi-source procurement is an effective plan to improve the flexibility of company A’s supply chain.Finally,through comparative analysis,this thesis set up two evaluation indicators of performance and contractual capacity,then use actual data of company A to evaluate the effect of the multi-source plan.Final evaluation result shows that although multi-source will increase the procurement cost to a certain extent,it will greatly increase the company’s revenue,profit,and contractual capacity,which can effectively avoid supply interruption,and the supply chain flexibility is greatly improved,thereby effectively improving customer satisfaction and enhancing enterprise competitiveness.
